LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Adin Ross is in the news once again. This time he has been accused of racism for mimicking a monkey and mocking individuals during a video call.
The video quickly went viral, with social media users sharing it extensively across various social media platforms. In response, Ross dismissed the accusations, labeling those who called him racist as "weird".
In recent news, Ross also grabbed headlines due to concerns about his health and the risk of developing diabetes. This concern arose from his extensive consumption of energy drinks as a weight-loss strategy.
Ross decided to work out in the gym to maintain a healthy lifestyle. However, he faced swatting incidents during his gym sessions, potentially contributing to his decision to reduce his time spent at the gym.
What happened during Adin Ross' livestream?
During a recent livestream, Adin Ross decided to check out an app called Monkey. In an official X (formerly Twitter) post of Drama Alert, a livestream clip was shared featuring Ross. It was captioned, 'Adin Ross was accidentally racist while streaming'.
For context, since the closure of the popular website Omegle, the app named Monkey has gained traction on social media. Functioning similarly to Omegle, upon registration, Monkey pairs users with random strangers via video chat, taking into account their specified preferences.
As Ross scrolled through profiles, his chat continually sent distracting TTS messages.
In response, when matched with a group of Black people, Ross started mimicking a monkey. The group promptly skipped him.
Ross laughed off the situation and attributed it to bad timing. He acknowledged that it might have looked "really bad" and clarified that he didn't intend to come across as insensitive.
Ross exclaimed, "Nah bro, that was really bad. Bro, you know that I didn't mean it like that, bro. Ya'll being weird. On God, dude, it's just the timing...."
