LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Amanda Seyfried paid homage to Alicia Silverstone's iconic look from the 1995 film ‘Clueless’ during an interview coinciding with the day Elizabeth Holmes, the convicted fraudster from Theranos, was due to commence her 11-year prison term. Seyfried portrayed Holmes in the 2022 mini-series ‘The Dropout’.
The 37-year-old actress, expressing her empathy for Holmes, made a stunning appearance on the morning of May 30 for her 'Good Morning America' interview. Channeling her inner ‘Clueless’, she confidently strutted in a stylish 90s-inspired ensemble consisting of a yellow plaid mini skirt suit paired with black heels featuring a gold stiletto.
Seyfried’s OOTD
Seyfried's signature blonde locks cascaded down in a middle part, while her natural beauty was accentuated with complimentary makeup, topped off with a pink lip. Her portrayal of Holmes in 'The Dropout' earned her an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie back in September.
Additionally, Amanda was also spotted wearing a crisp white shirt, paired with a flirty black mini skirt branded with the name Miu Miu around the waistline. To add a splash of color, she donned moss-green velvet Gucci loafers. Her hair remained styled in loose beach waves, and she added a vibrant cherry red lipstick that she wasn't wearing earlier.
‘It's fair for her’
On the Upper West Side, Seyfried was seen walking toward a black SUV, likely en route to an appointment. During her appearance on 'GMA', Amanda discussed Holmes and the miniseries that recounted the downfall of the disgraced biotechnology company.
Seyfried, aged 37, reflected on Holmes' upcoming imprisonment, emphasizing the impact on "those two kids.” "As a parent, as a mom, I'm just like... life's not fair," she remarked. "But in a lot of ways, it's fair for her in particular."
The actress's statements coincided with reports that Holmes, whom Seyfried portrayed in the popular miniseries ‘The Dropout’, is en route to Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas.
