PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: 'America's Got Talent' Season 18 kicked off with acts performed by talented contestants from around the globe. The NBC talent competition is back with another round of stirring auditions where a new batch of contestants will showcase their talent in hopes of impressing the judges and the viewers.
Among the hopefuls is the Japanese dance group, Avantgardey, who will be seen delivering an incredible synchronized dance performance. In an early preview, Avantgardey was seen leaving the 'AGT' judges and the live audience enthralled with their act. Furthermore, the girls' group also had the entire audience dancing with them, hinting at their future popularity.
Who is Avantgardey?
Japanese girl group Avantgardey is led by founder, producer, and choreographer Akane. Avantgardey features a 20-member team that has been impressing audiences since its launch in February 2022. The group primarily rose to some fame after performing with DJ Steve Aoki at one of his concerts in January this year. Since then, they have been seen performing across America displaying their impeccably choreographed dances. Avantgardey is especially known for their synchronized dance moves and funny expressions, which can be seen on the group's social media posts. The Japanese dance group has also collaborated with multiple artists around the globe, including Kelli Erdmann, Prajakta Koli, and Boris Becker, to name a few. With their acts, Avantgardey aims to make people smile and forget their distress.
Avantgardey delivers synchronized dance moves in 'AGT' Season 18
Avantgardey delivered a synchronized, comical, and catchy dance performance during the second round of the audition. The Japanese group's dance also features impressive facial expressions and moves. The group appeared on stage with matching uniforms delivering an extremely entertaining dance performance and were able to make the judges as well as the live audience dance with them throughout their performance.
Heidi Klum gushed after the performance and said, "You are so beyond in sync. You really think outside the box," adding, "I really feel like I saw your Japanese soul." Sofia Vergara complimented the group by saying, "This was beyond anything I expected. It was something weird that we never seen. I love you girls." Simon Cowell also loved the performance and called the performance "genius." adding, "I'm really, really, really happy you’ve come all the way from Japan to here. So thank you." Avantgardey's performance was also praised by Howie Mandel, who even mimicked the group's hand gestures, and said, "I'll put it in your terms. I loved everything that you do. I’ve never seen anything like this before."
