LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford have broken up after less than a year of dating. "We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends," said the 'Happier Than Ever' singer's representative on Wednesday, May 17.
Since Coachella, the duo have not been seen together. At the music festival in Indio, Eilish, 21, and Rutherford, 31, kept a low profile. In May, she made her appearance at the Met Gala without him. The 'Bad Guy' singer wore a dress designed by Simone Rocha and later at an afterparty, she was seen getting cozy with queer actress Ava Capri, reported Page Six.

Rep says cheating rumors are 'false'
Following the split, Eilish's representative dispelled cheating speculations and called the rumors "false." The former couple went Instagram official on November 1, 2022, just a month after they were romantically linked. Wrapped in Gucci blankets, they made their red carpet debuts at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in the same month. Talking to Vanity Fair, Eilish talked about dating Rutherford and said, "I managed to get my way to a point in my life where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest f*****g f****r alive but pulled his ass."
At the time, Eilish revealed what makes her happy in a relationship and said, "My love language is just physical touch. I just need to be touching skin all the time. Touching and cuddling and hugging, anything skin-related is a big thing for me."
"Other than that, freedom. I don't want to be controlled. I want to be trusted and I want to be able to have space," she added, reported Entertainment Tonight.
Eilish's 21st birthday celebration with Rutherford
On her 21st birthday in December 2022, Eilish celebrated the day with Rutherford as they were seen sharing kisses in front of the party guests. Pictures from the celebrations showed Rutherford affectionately putting his arms around the 'Ocean Eyes' singer.
Talking about his sister's age difference with the musician, producer Finneas said, "Listen, as long as she’s happy, I’m happy." From 2015 to 2021, Rutherford dated model Devon Lee Carlson before he dated Eilish. The Grammy winner dated actor Matthew Tyler Vorce prior to dating the 'Sweater Weather' singer.
