MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Charlize Theron was slammed for saying that she would "f**k up" anyone who was against drag queens during a recent telethon in support of the drag queen community. The telethon, titled 'Drag Isn't Dangerous', featured the actress and her friends addressing people who were against drag queens on Sunday, May 7.
The 'Bombshell' star's comments were aimed at conservative lawmakers, who were attempting to create laws to restrict children from seeing performances by drag queens. Theron, who previously made headlines for dressing her child, 11-year-old Jackson, as a girl for years, argued that children faced far more significant dangers than drag queens, emphasizing on the positive impact that the performers had by spreading happiness and love in the world.

The 'Drag Is Not Dangerous' fundraiser was organized by the Producer Entertainment Group and major LGBTQIA+ organizations. The event aimed to raise funds for these organizations to combat bills being introduced in conservative states, including Tennessee and Texas, that seek to regulate drag performances in public spaces to prevent minors from witnessing them. The fundraiser featured appearances by other notable celebrities, including Melissa McCarthy, Jesse Eisenberg, Sarah Silverman and performances by renowned drag queens.
Theron's self-recorded video captured her defense of the drag queen community, accompanied by her supportive friends. She expressed unwavering support for drag queens, warning anyone who threatens them that she will not hesitate to take action. "We love you queens! We’re in your corner, and we’ve got you, and I will f**k anybody up who is, like, trying to f**k with anything with you guys," she said, per Fox News. She added, "In all seriousness, there are so many things that are hurting and really, killing our kids right, and we all know what I’m talking about right now."
Theron added that the danger to children "ain’t no drag queen, because if you’ve ever seen a drag queen lip sync for her live, it only makes you happier, it only makes you love more. It makes you a better person."
She jokingly said, "F**k, if I could do a death drop right now I would, but I would probably like, break my hip." She told viewers, "Please support all the great organizations that are out there helping all of this nonsense going away like it should, all of these incredibly stupid policies. Bye!" She added in the end, "No more room for hate, only love, and love equals drag queens!"
'I have two beautiful daughters'
Theron is firm about her decision to raise her son, Jackson, as a girl. "Yes, I thought she was a boy, too," she reportedly said, adding, "Until she looked at me when she was three years old and said, 'I am not a boy!' So there you go! I have two beautiful daughters who, just like any parent, I want to protect and I want to see thrive. They were born who they are and exactly where in the world both of them get to find themselves as they grow up, and who they want to be, is not for me to decide."
Theron continued, "My job as a parent is to celebrate them and to love them and to make sure that they have everything they need in order to be what they want to be. And I will do everything in my power for my kids to have that right and to be protected within that," as per Daily Mail.

You know, I grew up in a country where people lived with half-truths and lies and whispers and nobody said anything outright, and I was raised very specifically not to be like that. I was taught by my mom that you have to speak up; you have to be able to know that, when this life is over, you'll have lived the truth you're comfortable with, and that nothing negative can come from that," Theron concluded.
