Although the release date of this movie is more than a year away, the cast and characters have kept the fans on their toes as the excitement continues to bubble up. It is no secret that Hugh Jackman, aka Wolverine, will be joining Ryan Reynolds in ‘Deadpool 3, although, the latest rumors might take the spotlight away from this popular duo.
‘Deadpool 3’ will officially be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and as it turns out, Wolverine might not be the only original character from the 2000s ‘X-Men’ to be appearing in the upcoming movie. The X-Men rumored to enter MCU
This is something that MCU and X-Men fans have been waiting for a long time. Frankly, MCU could use a boost like this after fans remain disappointed with the latest phases of the franchise. The original X-Men includes some brilliant characters that include Cyclops, Jean Grey, Rogue, Storm, Mystique, Iceman, and of course, Professor X. Given the concept of the multiverse paired with ‘Deadpool’ as a franchise that loves taking unique and unhinged risks, anything is possible.
As of now, it is rumored that Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm are set to make an appearance in ‘Deadpool 3’ and that also means the return of James Marsden, Famke Janssen, and Halle Berry respectively. Although the plot of ‘Deadpool 3’ hasn’t been revealed, and in classic MCU fashion, big secrets are being kept, chances are this rumor won’t be confirmed for a while. However, the likelihood of X-Men returning is quite high! ‘Deadpool 3’ could use all the tricks up its sleeve, especially with Reynolds’ writing being silenced.
Writers’ strike impacts ‘Deadpool 3’
The production of ‘Deadpool 3’ has begun, however, this time around, Reynolds won’t be able to make changes to the script because of the writers’ strike. This comes as a disappointment because Reynolds’ sense of humor often shines through this dialogue, a lot of which is written and improvised during filming. With the writers’ strike, Reynolds won’t be able to do this, unless the strike ends before the filming of the upcoming superhero movie. There is a lot riding on Deadpool’s arrival into the MCU, but only time will tell if they will actually be able to pull this off.
