MONTVILLE, NEW JERSEY: 'The Real Housewives Of New Jersey' star Teresa Giudice and her daughters Gia, 22, Milania, 17, and Audriana, 14 recently collaborated with clothing company, Shein, for the newly launched SHEINXGiudiceGirls collection.
The reality star and her daughters were brutally slammed for partnering with the fast fashion brand Shein for a new collection amid the reports of the company's 'unethical practices'. However, Teresa defended the fashion brand saying that it doesn't show ''unethical practices'.
Teresa and her daughters' representative told TMZ, "The SHEINxGiudiceGirls collection follows a long list of celebrities and public figures to partner with the brand. We acknowledge the concerns expressed about our partnership and met with the SHEIN team prior to working together."
The Giudice rep added, "We 100% believe in ethical practices in all capacities and in doing our due diligence have not seen any substantive evidence definitively showing unethical practices."
The reality star's rep elaborated, "This size-inclusive collection was made to amplify the voices and creativity of young women and to encourage entrepreneurship at any age. The responses thus far have been overwhelmingly positive and uplifting."
Shein promises to be 'transparent' amid collaboration with the Giudice family
After SHEINXGiudiceGirls collection received backlash, the fashion brand Shein opted to share their insight into the controversy. Shein's spokesperson told People that the brand is 'excited' about its collaboration with the Giudice family.
However, the spokesperson also noted to the outlet that the company is aware of the 'concerns raised by consumers' and is 'deeply committed to be as open and transparent as possible.'
The further informed the outlet, "SHEIN is dedicated to operating in a responsible and ethical manner and take any claims of unethical business practices seriously. We hope our fans enjoy this collaboration and the diversity in both design and sizing intended to deliver value for all this holiday season."
Shein accused of having 'inhumane working conditions'
Shein, which launched in China in 2012, is a popular brand among Gen Z shoppers in the US. However, the fashion company has faced criticism in recent years.
The clothing company has been called out for allegedly allowing inhumane conditions for its workers overseas. There have been reports of alleged forced labour abuses, human rights violations and potentially hazardous materials in clothing at Shein.
However, the fashion brand has continuously denied forced labour allegations and removed potentially toxic products from its app. In October 2022, an undercover investigation from Channel 4 and The i newspaper in the UK revealed Shein workers work seven days a week, some getting a base salary of only $556 per month to make 500 pieces of clothing per day.
Meanwhile, in June 2022, multiple videos went viral on social media claiming that Shein employees were hiding messages in the clothes they produced. One such tag allegedly had 'need your help' written within the care instructions.

'RHONJ' star Teresa Giudice was recently criticized for her 14-year-old daughter Audriana's inappropriate outfit for the Shein campaign. Audriana opted for pink satin lingerie to promote Shein.
The reality star has often been called out in the past over Audriana's style choices with viewers claiming Teresa shouldn’t allow it. However, the social media users took to the comment section of Teresa's Instagram post to again slam Teresa over Audriana's outfit latest Shein campaign.
An Instagram user commented, "Audriana too young for some of those hooked like clothes." Another user added, "Yikes, Audriana is too young to be promoted like a grown adult! She should be styled like a typical young 14 yr old like most 14 yr old girls should look like."
Another person noted, "Audriana is only 14, the satin cami nightdress she’s wearing that she posted on her IG story from her Tik Tok is not age appropriate. 🤷🏻♀️ Be careful, there’s lots of creepers out there."
Another critic said, "I’m not aware of the unethical behavior of SHEIN, but I’m not sure it’s the best idea to have your underaged daughters in an ad that contains lingerie and alcohol 🤔🫤 especially one that’s only 13… just saying."
Another follower wrote, "Why was the one daughter in a bra at the beginning? And was the 17 year old holding a bottle of champagne? Also who would let their 13 year old wear clothes like this? Asking for a friend?" Another social media user penned, "S*xualizing your daughters, nice job👏."
