NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Dolly Parton opened up about her nightly beauty routine and cosmetic procedures she had done over the years.
During her debut on SiriusXM's 'The Howard Stern Show', the country singer who appeared in a lime-green outfit with her long red nails and platinum-blonde hair also talked about her latest album ' Rockstar' and the release of her new book 'Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones.'
Dolly Parton advises to 'find the best doctors' for plastic surgery
Parton spoke about her approach to cosmetic procedures as she said, "I always say, 'Just find the best doctors.'"
"You’ve just got to be very careful not to overdo it because you never know, anytime you go under the knife you could come out looking not good," she added.
"I try to do just little bits at a time -- I don’t do like really big stuff. I do fillers, Botox … only when I have to do something a little more, and even then, I try to be careful," said the 77-year-old singer.
Dolly Parton revealed she started sleeping with her makeup on
In her newly released book, Parton disclosed that her bedtime routine includes a full face of makeup.
"I started sleeping with my makeup on, partly because of the earthquakes. I thought, 'I'm not heading out on the streets without makeup in case there are cameras out there! I'm going to be ready to go!,'" the songwriter said of her routine she began in the 1980s following her arrival in Los Angeles.
The 'Those Were the Days' songstress then unveiled the reason for continuing her bedtime beauty ritual.
"I don't want to go to bed looking like a hag with Carl," she said referring to her husband Carl Dean.
Dolly Parton unveiled she has hundreds of wigs
Speaking about her husband Dean of 50 years disliking her wigs, 'The Twelvth of Never' singer said she has hundreds of wigs. Parton said her wigs are "all big and they're all sexy."
"When I wear my hair too stationary, I said, 'You don't like my hair?' And he said, 'Well, it looks too important.' There's a certain look that looks important," she told ET.
When Parton was asked for the specific number of her wigs, the singer said, "Once somebody asked me, 'How many wigs do you have?' I said, 'Well, I must have at least 365 because I wear one almost every day.'"
