'DWTS' Season 32: Fans slam ABC for giving Adrian Peterson 'family man edit' after domestic violence charges

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Dancing With The Stars' Season 32 has been accused of clearing Adrian Peterson's image by portraying him as a 'family man'.

NFL player was arrested in 2014 for causing injury to his then 4-year-old son.

He was accused of leaving cuts all over the boy's body while disciplining him.

However, he completed 2 years of probation and was fined $4,000 along with 80 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty to a reduced charge.

Adrian again made headlines in 2022 after he was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence with his wife Ashley Peterson.

However, the viewers slammed 'DWTS' for portraying Adrian Peterson as a loving family man.

A Reddit user said, "They're pushing Adrian with his kids so much as a "family man" because they know people don't like because he beat his kid. I feel sick to my stomach watching him." Another user wrote, "Them showing adrian being a good family man…smh i see what they’re doing."

Another person noted, "Its so scary how this show is tryna push the Adrian family father angle on us." Another critic added, "Britt is beautiful but Adrian isn't a family man and his facial expressions...ugh!"

Another viewer said, "Hmmmm and how many of these children did you beat Adrian?? hate that they’re giving him the family man edit in these packages."

Another Twitter user penned, "Ironic how the guy with child abuse charges is being shown as a “family man” this week on dwts yikes #dwts."

Another viewer tweeted, "The f*****g nerve of ABC to show Adrian acting like a family man after all his horrific domestic abuse to them #dwts."

Former pro Sharna Burgess speaks out against Adrian Peterson

'DWTS' pro dancer Sharna Burgess recently spoke out on her new podcast, Oldish, which she co-hosts with her partner Brian Austin Green and Randy Spelling.

She said she was 'shocked' by Adrian's casting.

She shared in her podcast, "There's one person that I would love to share I'm really shocked is on there, which is Adrian Peterson, a football player."

Sharna added, "I had some people reach out to me and say, 'Have you seen this? Do you know his history?' I looked it up."

Sharna further added, "The man has been charged with child abuse of his 4-year-old son, in the way that he punishes him. That is just devastating for me."

"You know how we talk about the things you could have avoided?" she continued.

Sharna further suggested that she would back out from the show if Adrian was her partner, adding, "There is no way, I would be able to stomach that. But him aside, the rest of the cast looks incredible."

Adrian Peterson teams up with Britt Stewart for Samba

Adrian Peterson paired up with dancing legend Britt Stewart during Latin Night and they performed Salsa.

Britt used a lot of classic Samba steps, and it definitely looked like Adrian was trying to manage that Samba bounce.

Derek gave Adrian props for learning a Samba but called it blocky. Bruno advised him to soften his dancing a bit.

Meanwhile, Carrie Ann complimented his athletic prowess but noted that refinement was missing.

Carrie also suggested that he needed better partnering, to be centered, and to use his power more carefully.
