JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY: Brittany Mattessich is now engaged to 'RHONJ' star Frank Catania.
On Sunday, October 29, 2023, she took to her Instagram page to announce the news of her engagement to Frank Catania, who was previously married to Dolores Catania.
"We're Engaged!!!! I’m so excited to start this next chapter with you along with all the other good things we have going on… Thank you for being you & making me the happiest girl in the world. I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else other than @frank.catania.sr," she captioned the post, adding, "Love you so much, my fiance."
How did Frank Catania and Brittany Mattessich meet?
Frank and Brittany met when he was training her for fitness competitions. The two of them had an on-and-off relationship for years before their friendship took a romantic turn.
In 2020, the reality TV star revealed that he was in a new relationship but he kept the identity of his girlfriend a secret back then. However, he disclosed she was 30 years old.
The fans of the show 'RHONJ' also got to see Mattessich in Season 13 of the show which premiered on Bravo on February 7, 2023.
The star cast of the show, including Frank Catania's ex-wife Dolores, adores her.
Why did 'RHONJ' stars Frank Catania and Dolores Catania separate?
During the April 28 episode of the hit Bravo series, Dolores shared that Frank left when she was nine months pregnant with their son, Frankie.
For those out of the loop, the two of them have been divorced for over 20 years now. Frank's infidelity led to the end of their marriage, as per Distractify.
Frank and Dolores were not on good terms when they first divorced. The pair began healing after Frank ended his relationship with the "other" woman he cheated on Dolores with.
Dolores said, "We had a very difficult time years ago and I had a lot of pain and anger to deal with," while having a chat with HuffPost in 2016.
She further added, "I mean, he cheated (he is not with that woman now, Thank God) and ended up leaving us right before I was supposed to give birth. It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears but we were able to work it out. It certainly wasn't always easy or anything like it looks now."
She decided to let things go and shifted all her focus to her children.
The mother of two continued, "In addition to getting angry and getting all that stuff off my chest, I learned that biting some things back also helped — when I reflect now in retrospect, I'm happy for some of those things I bit back."
She concluded, "I stood on my own two feet, I got out of the marriage but there are certain things that weren't worth fighting about and I'm honestly glad to have exercised the appropriate and necessary restraint because we have the friendship we have today."

Frank shares two children with his ex-wife Dolores Catania. The former couple welcomed their first child, daughter Gabrielle, in 1995. They welcomed their second child together, their son Frankie, in 1998.
