LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The former Chief Meteorologist of ‘Good Morning America’, Sam Champion, has received the best birthday surprise from his husband Rubem Robierb.
The ‘ABC’ weatherman recently turned 62 and was bowled over by Rubem’s heartfelt surprise for him. The now-62-year-old was “ambushed” by a cake in his bed as soon as he woke.
Sam was pleasantly surprised by this heartfelt gesture and soon took to Instagram to share the happiness with his followers as he posted a small clip of all the memories he shared with Rubem.
Later, the ‘ABC’ host also posted a brief clip blowing out a candle on a cake while out on a birthday dinner with husband Rubem.

Sam Champion and Rubem Robierb have been married for over a decade after having met at a party in Miami back in 2009.
Since then, the duo has shared countless milestones and they continue to support each other in all their endeavors.
So, when it comes to celebrating each other’s birthdays, the two never shy away from going all out and giving each other the most unexpected and heartfelt surprises.
Making Sam Champion’s 62nd birthday special was a task that Rubem performed effortlessly and with immense love. He walked in with a huge chocolate cake with candles as Sam was just getting out of bed.
Later, Rubem also composed a video of the best memories the two share which included moments that totally floored Sam once again.
The former host, therefore, took to Instagram and shared a small post, showering his husband with love and affection.
He captioned the post, “Rubem gave me Birthday Ambush Wake Up Cake and surprised me with this video the algorithm composed.”
He added, “In his post, he is absolutely correct to point out… life moves so fast and we rarely get to celebrate friends, experiences, and moments… I think a birthday is perfect for this!! Thank you for the sample of video memories.”

After a hearty gesture to kickstart Sam’s birthday, Rubem took the ball further with another beautiful gesture involving a sumptuous dinner. Vivid greenery appeared behind the dinner table that the ‘ABC’ anchor was sitting at while he was filmed.
Sam blew out the candle on his small cake and looked at ease, wearing a stylish long-sleeved top.
He captioned the post, “When I say, my husband knows how to plan a special birthday…. He is the freeking best at it #bestbirthday.”
The ‘ABC’ weatherman couldn’t help but credit his spouse for all that he did for his special day.
