Lizzo has threatened to quit music after being hit with horrific comments about her weight "daily". The 'About Damn Time' singer has been vocal about trolls in the past but on Wednesday (31 May) shared several examples in a string of now-private tweets. "I JUST logged on [to] the app and this is the type of s*** I see about me on a daily basis," she wrote on Twitter. She included a post from one brutal critic Layah Hailpern, who said: "How is Lizzo still THIS fat when she’s constantly moving this much on stage?! I wonder what she must be eating." Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Lizzo went on to say "Then someone in the comments said I eat ‘lots of fast food,' before exclaiming how she "literally stopped eating fast food years ago." She explained how she's "tired of explaining myself all the time and I just wanna get on this app w/out seeing my name in some bulls***". A separate post saw the star react to another comment, reading: "I don’t think Lizzie wants to be smaller... yet... If she did, she would be. It’s her brand." Lizzo hit back: "This is what my body looks like even when I’m eating super clean and working out. Y’all speak on s*** y’all know NOTHING ABOUT and I’m starting to get heated." The 35-year-old continued: "The Love definitely do not outweigh the Hate on social media... all because I’m fat???? This is CRAZY. "I HATE IT HERE," she fumed, before threatening to quit music. Andrew Tate is upset he didn’t win a MrBeast competition, and he’s claimed the YouTuber’s latest giveaway is a “lie” and is the work of “Satan”. MrBeast, real name James Stephen Donaldson, announced last month that he’d be giving away his Twitter revenue for a month to the person who could achieve the most likes with their reply to his Tweet. The giveaway was launched on July 14, which was just after Twitter confirmed its revenue-sharing program with verified profiles. “Whoever has the most liked reply to this in 48 hours gets all my Twitter revenue for the next month,” MrBeast posted, prompting a flurry of responses. Tate was one of the people who replied to MrBeast, and he managed to rack up more than 279,000 likes. The controversial influencer originally said he’d give the money to his own charity, Tate Pledge, if he won. Arkunir pledged to give the money to an animal protection foundation. Tate didn’t take it well after the winner was announced, claiming that it was a “lie” and thousands of “bots” had faked the result. “They botted a random tweet after I won,” Tate wrote. “They refuse to donate to Islamic countries. Refuse to help innocent children. Refuse to help the world. They only want to push the agendas of Satan.” Alright Andrew, if you say so. Tate, along with his brother Tristan and two other associates, has been charged in Romania with rape, human trafficking and forming an organised crime group. It comes after Tate attempted to troll Amanda Holden but everyone pointed out his hypocrisy. Barbie and Oppenheimer did so well at the box office at their opening weekend that Vue International reported its biggest weekend for UK cinema ticket sales since before the pandemic. On Sunday, the cinema chain said a fifth of its customers had bought tickets to see both films in a double bill. More than 2,000 of Vue’s screenings for Barbie were sold out, according to the company. The company said the comedy drama Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, would exceed ticket sales for Super Mario Bros and expected Oppenheimer to become the biggest film of the year. Tim Richards, chief executive and founder of Vue International, said: “Vue saw its highest weekend admissions since Avengers: Endgame in 2019 with the release of Barbie and Oppenheimer, proving that when the movies are there our customers will come to watch them on the big screen. Meanwhile, Odeon reported on Thursday that more than 200,000 advance tickets had been bought and more than 10,000 guests were expected to see both films during the opening weekend. Universal Pictures said Oppenheimer had made £8.05m in the UK and Ireland since Friday.
