Social media personality Hasbulla Magomedov has been arrested in Russia for driving offences committed after a wedding celebration. 20-year-old Hasbulla is from Russia and was arrested in his native Dagestan, a Republic of Russia, in an incident involving a group of his friends celebrating a wedding. According to reports, Hasbulla and friends blocked a main road in order to do doughnuts. Since his arrest, Hasbulla apologised for the incident on social media and confirmed it wasn’t him driving. He tweeted: “That won't happen again, people we apologise. We had to answer for it a little bit. I wasn't driving either.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter According to Dagestan’s Internal Affairs Ministry, the act of blocking a road to burn rubber is a common form of celebration after a wedding and added that wedding emotions got the better of those arrested. The statement read: “Unbridled wedding fun in Dagestan is known to many and far beyond the borders of the republic.” It continued: “In the absence of other ways of entertainment, such a primitive option is still extremely popular - blocking roads for other road users, burning rubber, smashing cars against each other and many other features that, in fact, have nothing to do with the celebration.” Footage of the incident was shared online and showed the social media star in a car blocking the road, while another vehicle from his party did donuts in the road in front. The statement from Dagestan’s Internal Affairs Ministry continued, explaining: “All participants of 'wedding emotions', as they themselves call it, were taken to the police, and in relation to them, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan drew up administrative protocols for all violations.” It’s not the first time in recent months that Hasbulla’s actions have caused a stir. When it comes to Eurovision, you kind of have to accept and embrace the weirdness. So, when the second semi-final of this year’s contest – taking place in Liverpool, of course, on behalf of Ukraine – decided to bring out Peppa Pig to do the conga, many British viewers weren’t that surprised at all. The popular children’s character made an appearance shortly after voting opened during Thursday’s show, which eventually saw fan favourites Belgium and Austria go through to Saturday’s grand final, amongst others. She was also joined by the pop group Scooch, who represented the UK in Finland with “Flying the Flag (For You)” back in 2007. While Peppa danced away, UK commentators Scott Mills and Rylan Clark revealed the latter’s dressing room had also been taken over by the pig. “My dressing room was removed today,” said Clark. “It used to say ‘Rylan’, now it says ‘Peppa the Pig’,” added Mills. Following Peppa Pig’s appearance, many just accepted the scenes as peak British weirdness, and some noticed Ukrainian host Julia Sanina looked rather bemused by it all: As the camera cuts back to the presenters, co-presenter Alesha Dixon can be seen telling Sanina that she will “explain it to you later”. We don’t think it requires any explanation, Alesha… Others, meanwhile, expressed glee at the show’s credits making clear that Peppa Pig was, in fact, Peppa Pig: Peppa has since taken to Twitter to confirm she had an “oinktastic time”, which is nice to hear. Piers Morgan is set to interview Andrew and his brother Tristian in a world exclusive interview from Romania that is set to air on Monday on Piers Uncensored. Tate was arrested in December 2022 on allegations of rape, human trafficking and organised crime and was released for jail in August and has been under house arrest in Romania ever since. This will be Tate's first major interview with a broadcaster since he spoke to the BBC in June. It's also the first time that Tate will have been interviewed since the conflict between Israel and Hamas escalated in October. Tate has been outspoken in his support of Palestine, condemning the bombing of Gaza and clashing with the likes of Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro for their backing of Israel. As has become customary during interviews with Palestine supporters on major broadcasters, they are often asked if they condemn Hamas and the terrorist organisers attack on Israel on October 7th. After hyping the interview with Tate on X/Twitter, Morgan was asked if he asked Tate if he condemned Hamas. Morgan confirmed that he did indeed but didn't reveal what Tate said. We'll just have to wait and see what the answer will be when the interview airs on TalkTV on Monday. Morgan interviewed Tate previously in October 2022 where he was grilled on his 'toxic masculinity' persona and accusations of mysogny.
