Taylor Swift fans go wild after first public kiss with Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift fans were sent into overdrive after a clip surfaced online of the star kissing Travis Kelce. The new footage shows Swift waving at fans after her Argentina show before spotting her boyfriend in the crowd. She runs over to the NFL player, before hugging and kissing him. The crowd then erupts into cheers. The wholesome clip was soon shared to X/Twitter, with one writing: "The way she ran into his arms, you can tell she’s really in love." Another added: "She looks really happy, love that for her!" Meanwhile, one fan tweeted: "All of Taylor’s ex crying rn cause she’s never been this publicly in love with any of them before." Swift has been known to show her support at Kelce's games, too – and stats suggest she could very well be his lucky charm. During the Kansas City Chiefs' win over the Los Angeles Chargers last month, the broadcaster CBS shared a graphic titled 'You belong with TE,' referencing Swift's song 'You Belong With Me'. It then suggested that Kelce averaged 99 receiving yards per game, with it bumping up to 108 following Sunday's game. They then showed a separate post when Swift isn't in attendance at Kelce's game when he's "left to his own devices" – a reference to 'Anti-Hero' – with just 46.5 yards per game. It didn't take long for fans to catch onto the tongue-in-cheek remarks, with one writing: "Safe to say Taylor and Travis belong together." Another wrote: "The entire graphic, compliments to whoever cooked it up." Gary Lineker calls out Elon Musk after 'scam' about his career ending goes viral
Gary Lineker has called out Elon Musk for content he’s been subjected to on Twitter/X, and it’s not for the first time. The Match of the Day presenter hit out at the CEO of the social media site and replied to a “scam” new link which falsely claimed that Lineker was stepping away from his job in the media. The former England footballer responded to an account with a blue tick and 28 followers, a link with the caption: “Gary Lineker says goodbye and ends his career as a sports journalist.” “This is a scam. Do not click on it. So much of this on here now @elonmusk,” Lineker wrote. Lineker has been critical of Musk since he took over at Twitter. In a recent interview with the Guardian, the sports pundit said the tech mogul was bad at running the social media platform, and called him "rubbish". He said: "As for Elon Musk, I think perhaps the most interesting thing for me is that, for someone that’s spent so much money on Twitter, he is actually not very good on Twitter. He’s rubbish. I think that’s quite amusing.” Lineker also previously challenged Twitter/X and Musk after his son received abuse on the platform. Musk bought Twitter last year and since doing so has been criticised for making a number of unpopular changes like making people pay for their blue ticks and renaming Twitter 'X' recently. Elon Musk will give Wikipedia $1 billion if website agrees to childish name change
You know how anytime you go onto Wikipedia you're asked to donate? Elon Musk could get rid of that once and for all, on one condition. Wikipedia is run by a team of volunteers and is free to access. Volunteers help keep the site up to date as well as write numerous translations for various articles to increase the accessibility. Now, Elon Musk is offering the site $1 billion dollars, but only if they change their name. Musk, who clearly has the same humour as a 12-year-old, is prepared to give out a large cheque if Wikipedia becomes... 'D**kipedia'. Musk was seemingly inspired after seeing the standard appeal for donation on the site, although was unsure why the site was asking for money. "Have you ever wondered why the Wikimedia Foundation ants so much money?" The Twitter/X CEO asked. "It certainly isn't needed to operate Wikipedia. You can literally fit a copy of the entire text on your phone! "So, what's the money for? Inquiring minds want to know..." But a quick Google and Musk could have found the answer himself. Samantha Lien, a spokeswoman for the Wikimedia Foundation, told The Washington Post: "Based on guidance from the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees, our reserve amounts to one year of operating budget. "If there were circumstances that affected our ability to raise those funds during that period, we could end up in an urgent situation - the reserve is a safety net to protect Wikipedia against such as possibility." Although, the large donation perhaps isn't the best use of Musk's money after his wealth dropped by $16 billion after shares in Tesla dropped by 9.3 percent since the company released its 2023 third-quarter earnings report.
