The new King's coronation celebrations continued on Sunday with a huge concert at Windsor Castle featuring the likes of Lionel Richie, Olly Murs, Tom Cruise, Take That and Katy Perry. The American songstress, who just the day before had managed to get lost in Westminister Abbey at the actual coronation, wore an amazing gold gown while she belted out two of her classic hits 'Roar' and 'Firework' to the thousands in attendance including the King and Queen. In 'Firework' Perry sings the line: "You just gotta ignite the light. And let it shine. Just own the night. Like the Fourth of July." For those that need a brief recap of history, the United States celebrates independence day on 4th July, which marks the date that America gained freedom from the British in 1776. One person wrote: "Katy Perry reminding to 'own the night like the 4th of July' ... Um, is that awkward." Another added: "Katy Perry singing about 4th July to the British King is surely an arrestable offence." A third said: "I find it hilarious that Katy Perry sang about "the Fourth of July" at a concert celebrating the coronation of King Charles III." A fourth person joked: "Katy Perry performing Firework and singing “own the night like the Fourth of July” at the coronation of the King of England is lowkey savage." Meanwhile, others joked that Perry had turned up dressed as a toffee penny from a box of Quality Street. Elon Musk is busy preparing for his fight against Mark Zuckerberg, and he might be getting a little helping hand from none other than WWE royalty Triple H. The wrestler who is the CCO and head of creative for WWE has reached out to Musk and offered to help him get ready for the big showdown against the Meta CEO. Musk and Zuckerberg seemingly agreed to a cage match after it was leaked that Zuckerberg's Meta was planning to release a rival to Twitter called Threads. After Musk said he’d be up for a cage match if he is”, Zuckerberg then posted a screenshot of Musk's tweet to his Instagram story saying "send me location". The wrestler referenced Twitter’s recent rebrand to “X” in his reply, offering to help by writing: "Say the word, @elonmusk. I know a thing or two about making an X sign" adding a GIF of him making the infamous 'Suck It' gesture. Wrestling fans will know that Triple H was a co-founder of the D-Generation X (DX) stable, which are a major faction in WWE history. He’s not a bad guy to have in your corner for something like this, we’d say – Triple H is one of the most celebrated wrestlers of all time and retired in 2022 as a 14-time world champion. Triple H is now in charge of the creative team at WWE, and he’s been keeping a close eye on the touted fight between Musk and Zuckerberg. The wrestler hasn’t always been such a big fan of Musk, though. Back in 2021, he appeared on the Good Time show and criticised his business practices in a tongue-in-cheek rant before calling him out for a fight. "So, if you want to disrespect our business, I will anytime, anyplace, anywhere [fight you]. Elon Musk, if you’ve got the guts, if you have what it takes to do this… then you and I will talk about what I really want to talk about, which is taking one of your rockets, launching it from Florida, going up into space, heading to Mars with a team from the Performance Center, where we then put on the largest spectacle the universe has ever seen – WrestleMania Mars," Triple H said. Meanwhile, in a post on August 6 in Meta’s recently launched social media platform Threads, Zuckerberg said he had proposed 26 August for the bout with Musk. “I’m ready today. I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath,” the Meta chief said in response to Musk’s post on Twitter, which has been rebranded as X. Sandi Toksvig has prompted an outpouring of support for expressing her anger at anti-trans people in politics and the media. The former Great British Bake Off presenter said: “I am so distressed by people who call themselves ‘radical feminists’ but are anti-trans. I could weep. I don’t get it. It’s beyond me. “When the feminist movement started in the 60s and 70s, lesbians were often excluded, because we were told that we would make the movement less palatable. I have been excluded myself, so how could I do that to someone else? It fills me with rage.” Toksvig was speaking in an interview with The i newspaper to promote an upcoming performance with the London Gay Men’s Chorus. A vocal LGBT+ rights campaigner for decades, Toksvig was one of Britain’s most visible lesbian women when she came out publicly in 1994. She also founded the Women’s Equality Party in 2015 and is working on a campaign to remove unelected Church of England bishops from the House of Lords because of its opposition to same-sex marriage. She said: “It’s shocking. They don’t deal with gay people or women in an equitable manner. And they aren’t some sort of obscure organisation – this is our state church. “None of them have been elected. This is our parliament and it’s not OK. Be a bigot if you want to, in your own back yard – but don’t come and play in mine.” Responding to Toksvig’s comments on social media, people immediately jumped to the TV stalwart’s side. Broadcaster India Willoughby wrote: “Now here’s a classy lady. Graham Linehan [the screenwriter and prominent anti-trans campaigner] will be along shortly to tell Sandi she’s not a real feminist.” Another person said: “Sandi had such an impact on me when I was growing up and watching number 73 [a 1980s British TV show]. “I'd never seen another woman like her and being a non conforming teenage lesbian who didn't understand herself or her sexuality, Sandi was pivotal in helping me figure it all out.” And a third added: “She’s fabulous isn’t she.” As for Toksvig, she promised to go on campaigning. She said: “I’ve been an activist all of my life. It’s a core part of who I am.
