Kevin Hart consoled by The Rock after injury confines him to a wheelchair
Kevin Hart has been consoled by his celebrity friend The Rock after an accident left him requiring the use of a wheelchair. The actor and comedian took to Instagram to explain to fans that attempting to “do some young stuff” caused him to temporarily need to use a wheelchair. Hart captioned a video on his Instagram: “44 and sitting my ass down!!!!! I got to be the dumbest man alive!!!!! What the fuck am I doing???? I blew my shit….I’m done. FML.” In the video, he explained exactly what went down and how he suffered the injuries. He said: “Ladies and gentlemen the age 40 is real, to all my men and women out there who are 40 years old and above it's not a game. “Respect that age, respect that age or that age will make you respect it. I was just forced to respect it." “This is just a public service announcement because I know people may see me out and I don't want you to be alarmed but I'm in a wheelchair.” He went, on saying he tried to do some “young man’s stuff” and attempted to race the former NFL player Stevan Ridley in a sprint as a bet. It did not end well for Hart as he explained, “I blew all my shit” including his lower abdomen and abductor muscles, leaving him unable to walk. Among the many well-wishes left in the Instagram comments, one came from Hart's friend, co-star and former wrestler The Rock, who shared his experience with a similar injury. The Rock wrote: “I tore my adductor off my pelvis during a wrestling match. True story. You’ll be fine. You’ll grow a 3rd ball but you’ll be fine. Heal up.” Actor Will Smith also commented: “Getting older is REAL!! Heal Up, Kev!!” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. Elon Musk congratulates his ex-wife on getting engaged to the Love Actually kid
In one of the more unlikely stories you'll hear this year, Elon Musk has congratulated his ex-wife Talulah Riley on getting engaged to Love Actually child actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster. Riley and Brodie-Sangster, who are both actors, have been together for two years having met while working on the FX series Pistol. Now after just two years together, Riley announced on Twitter that she and Brodie Sangster were getting hitched. The 37-year-old St Trininan's star wrote: "Very happy to share that after two years of dating, Thomas Brodie Sangster and I are engaged!" Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Riley, who has been married to Elon Musk twice and as a result divorced twice, even chimed in to offer his congratulations as the happy couple shared a wholesome selfie of themselves together. Riley and Musk began dating in 2008 and married each other in Scotland in 2010 only for Musk to end the relationship in 2012 and file for divorce. They then reconciled their differences and in July 2013 got married again but by December 2014 Musk had filed for another divorce only to withdraw. Riley and Musk then lived separately for six months before she filed for divorce in 2016 with the pair finally separating in October 2016. The two appear to still be on good terms with Riley telling Musk in March 2022: "Can you buy Twitter and then delete it, please?" America is going insane. Or can you just buy Twitter and make it radically free speech? So much stupidity comes from Twitter." Some foreshadowing there... Brodie-Sangster is best known for his role as Sam in the Christmas classic Love Actually but has also starred in Nowhere Boy, Game of Thrones and the Maze Runner series. John Cena made a subtle reference during surprise Money in the Bank appearance
John Cena made a surprise return to WWE on Saturday night when he shocked the packed o2 arena in London at the Money in the Bank premium live event and made a subtle reference to a recent viral video he featured in. The 46-year-old former 16-time world champion shocked the audience in attendance and teased a potential WrestleMania event happening in London in the near future. That was until he was interrupted by up-and-coming Australian superstar Grayson Waller who suggested that WrestleMania should be held in Australia instead and also offered Cena the chance to appear on a future installment of his talk show 'The Grayson Waller Effect.' When Cena declined the offer he retorted with his own invitation by saying "How about 'can I enjoy some time with my friends?" Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter At the moment many people might not have even noticed this line or questioned what it was about but it was actually a very sly nod to a viral video that circulated about Cena last week. In the viral clip, a WWE fan had asked Cena, who was in a restaurant with his friend, if he could shout his iconic catchphrase 'You Can't See Me.' Cena replied by saying: ""How about I enjoy some time with my friends?" And there you go. Thankfully, Cena did stick around and spend some time with his friends and eventually delivered an Attitude Adjustment to Waller, potentially setting up a future confrontation between the pair.
