Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter In an interview with Vogue Australia back in 2018, Blanchett revealed how she first came across the eyebrow-raising regime with her friend, fellow actor Sandra Bullock. “Sandy [Bullock] and I saw this facialist in New York, Georgia Louise, and she gives what we call the ‘penis facial,’” she told Vogue reporter Remy Rippon. “I don’t know what it is, or whether it’s just because it smells a bit like sperm — there’s some enzyme in it, so Sandy refers to it as the ‘penis facial'.” Her comments sparked a flurry of interest – and horror – in the procedure, which was later clarified by the beauty expert, Georgia Louise. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR) she explained that the treatment’s technical name is an Epidermal Growth Factor facial – or EGF for short – and that no babies are harmed in the making of it. “The foreskin is collected during circumcision and the stem cells are then harvested and extracted through a centrifuge,” she told the website. “I am always very mindful to explain radical serums and potions that I carry in my back bar, so I always explain that EGF is derived from newborn baby foreskin, but cells were taken and from that, new cells are cloned from a laboratory,” she added. In a separate statement shared to her Instagram, she insisted that she only uses clone EFG cells that were “grown in a lab”, and that everything she uses is FDA approved. Apparently, the cells help to generate collagen and elastin, heal scar tissue and help treat pigmentation and sun damage. The speculation is true – Logan Paul has possession of the “best UFO footage ever”, or so he claims. It comes after documentary filmmaker James Fox spoke on The Joe Rogan Experience about a video rumoured to have been uncovered by UFO specialist Chuck Clark around 30 years ago. Fox claimed that the clip shows two men in the Nevada desert encountering a UFO, and he believes that if Paul released the footage it could be key to changing people’s perceptions about alien sightings. Now, Paul has stated that he does indeed have a copy of the video. He claimed that he tried to purchase the footage from Clark for $100,000. After the offer was turned down, he then used a hidden camera to record the footage after he was invited to a screening. Duran Duran guitarist Andy Taylor has revealed that his prostate cancer is “asymptomatic”, after he was previously told he needed “palliative, end-of-life care”. The Northumberland-raised musician, 62, was diagnosed with stage-four prostate cancer in 2018. After he was unable to attend Duran Duran’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, his bandmates – singer Simon Le Bon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes, bassist John Taylor and drummer Roger Taylor – read his letter informing them of his diagnosis to the audience at the ceremony in Los Angeles. Following the ceremony, Taylor approached a doctor who told him about a treatment involving radioactive chemicals given intravenously, which would target only cancer cells. In an interview with The Times, Taylor disclosed that he is “radioactive for several days” after receiving the treatment and is unable to sleep in the same room as someone else or use public transport. “I was classified as palliative, end-of-life care ... and now I’m not; I’m asymptomatic,” he told the publication. He called the scientist, who identified and recommended the treatment, Christopher Evans, the “Elon Musk of cancer”. He also said he was touched that Le Bon read out his letter at the Hall of Fame ceremony: “It takes someone with a very special quality from their heart to do that and not drop a word. People don’t realise he’s actually quite a classy guy.” Taylor said two symptoms alerted him that something was wrong: bone pain while jogging, which he almost mistook for arthritis after his years of live performances, and erectile dysfunction, which was masked by Taylor’s use of Viagra. Asked about the prospect of returning to Duran Duran, he also said: “No, I’m not going to rejoin the band ... I would not say no to (part time for) the opportunity, particularly for the fans, but as I keep reminding people, you have to be asked.” In the same interiew, however, Taylor also rubbished a rumour that he “can’t stand” his former bandmate, Nick Rhodes. The Birmingham-formed Duran Duran were one of the biggest acts of the 1980s, with hits including “Rio”, “The Wild Boys”, and the James Bond theme “A View To A Kill”. Donald Trump has doubled down on his apparent dislike of Kim Kardashian, dubbing her the “most overrated celebrity”. It’s the second time the controversial former president has had something to say about the star, despite seemingly having a good relationship with the reality star during his time in office. In Jonathan Karl's book about the last few tumultuous weeks of Trump’s presidency, he suggested that the relationship first soured after Trump made a deal with Kardashian that he would help her with a clemency case, in return for her having some of her football star friends visit him in the White House – something that never transpired. Karl claimed Trump ultimately hung up a phone call from Kardashian in a rage, and after some “choice words”, over the alleged broken promise and his belief that she supported Joe Biden. Now, Trump has taken to social media to publically call out Kardashian in a scathing rant calling her “overrated”. In his post on Truth Social, he claimed that Karl’s version of events are “fake news”. He wrote: “In the ‘book’ he has the World’s most overrated celebrity, Kim Kardashian, supposedly telling me that she ‘would leverage her celebrity to get football stars to come to the White House,’ if I would commute the sentences of various prisoners. “This story is Fake News in that she would be the last person I asked to get football players.” Elsewhere in the long post, he wrote: “I did help with prisoner commutation, but only if deserving, and much more so for Kanye West than for Kim, who probably voted for Crooked Joe Biden.” Kardashian and Trump met in the Oval Office in 2018 to talk about prison reform and sentencing, as well as the pardoning of Alice Johnson, who was serving a life sentence for nonviolent drug and money laundering charges.
