Martin Scorsese acting like a 'silly goose' becomes TikTok’s unlikely new obsession
Martin Scorsese is one of Hollywood's best-known directors, but to his daughter Francesca he's a "silly goose," as her latest TikTok demonstrates. In the brief clip, Francesca Scorsese showed the playful side to the 80-year-old filmmaker as the 23-year-old described her father as a "certified silly goose," using the hashtags "#trailer #martinscorsese #scorsese #bestdad #bestdadever #sillygoose." At the beginning, she added a tweet to the video that read: "I wish ppl had a 30 sec trailer so I can see what I’m getting myself into [sic]." Since sharing the amusing clips of the Goodfellas director, the TikTok has received 1.1m views, 185,000 likes and thousands of comments from people who loved seeing this side of Scorsese. @francescascorsese He’s a certified silly goose. ??#CapCut #fyp #trailer #martinscorsese #scorsese #bestdad #bestdadever #sillygoose One person said: "His films vs him in real life. This is adorable. Legend!" "More like martin sillysese!!" another person asked. A third added: "Cutie patootie little silly guy very silly and funny adorable boy and very silly and funny cute guy." "Omg love seeing this side of him hahah," a fourth person commented. Someone else replied: "I need to stay on this side of Marty-tok." It's not the first time Scorsese has featured on his daughter's TikTok after Francesca hilariously tricked him into holding an imaginary flea’s jacket in another viral video last year. He also made another appearance in a different video back in 2021 where he was grilled by Francesca on the purpose of different beauty and hygiene products. Martin Scorsese has three daughters, his eldest Cathy Scorsese from his first marriage to Laraine Marie Brennan, followed by his second child, Domenica Scorsese from his second marriage to Julia Cameron, and then his youngest child Francesca Scorsese to his fifth and current spouse Helen Morris. Doorcam footage 'holds the key' to Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas's divorce
Doorcam footage could reveal the reason for Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas getting a divorce as the topic of what was said is revealed. This month, musician Joe Jonas filed for divorce from the Game of Thrones actor Sophie Turner after four years of marriage. While the divorce papers cited that the marriage was “irretrievably broken”, several sources told gossip site TMZ that ring camera footage which had caught Turner saying some disparaging things made Jonas acknowledge that their marriage was essentially over. Now, the content of the footage has been shared with USWeekly. The anonymous source said that the doorbell caught Turner telling her friend “some not-so-nice things about Jonas”. The source added: “It wasn’t anything more than that, but that was the final straw.” “Nobody thought things would get this nasty between Joe and Sophie. Friends are hopeful they can be mature for the sake of the kids, but neither one is going to acquiesce to the other. This could go on for a very long time,” they continued. The couple share two children, with their first daughter, Willa, born in July 2020. Their second child, Delphine arrived in July 2022. As rumours swirled about the status of their marriage, the couple posted a joint statement on Instagram. It read: “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.” However, on 21 September, Turner filed a lawsuit against her former partner over the “wrongful retention” of their two children, who remain in New York against Turner’s wishes. Lil Baby speaks out on 'sick' viral video
Rapper Lil Baby has shut down claims that he is featured in a NSFW video circulating online. The fuzzy recording was said to feature a man resembling the 28-year-old performing a sex act. It didn't take long for him to turn to his Instagram Story to hit back at internet rumours, calling it "dumb ass click bait" (sic). "Y'all gotta stop using my name and likeness when y'all get bored, then the extremes mfs go to for clout is sick," he wrote to his 23.1 million followers. "Ain't no mystery in my history on NO LEVEL. This is my last time addressing any kind of dumb ass click bait." While the source is unknown and it is unclear whether the footage was created through AI, there has recently been a surge in deepfake porn – mostly targeting female celebrities and influencers. Cybersecurity expert and What the Hack podcast host Adam Levin previously explained to Indy100 that deepfake porn is created mainly for profit – but also a strange way for people to "show off editing skills and click trolling." "This sort of content predates the web," Levin explained, "Because it is mostly a digital activity now, it can be difficult, if not impossible, to trace back content to the person who created it." Worryingly, Levin explained that "as long as every party involved is a legal adult, there aren’t very many laws on the books to prevent or punish the distribution of illicit content." He claimed "it’s nearly impossible to remove any content published online, pornographic or otherwise," before adding: "That said, if all the parties are known, there may be legally actionable kinds of deepfake porn content." Lily Allen's three word message about Brexit says it all
Singer and actress Lily Allen simply tweeted ‘Brexit was dumb’ earlier this weekan and was met with overwhelming agreement from many. Since 52 percent of the British public voted to leave the European Union back in 2016, many have come to the conclusion that the decision was a mistake, after rising prices, limited economic growth, and other negative impacts that have risen as a result of Brexit. The 38-year-old singer’s tweet got over 9,000 likes and over 700 retweets. Making it clear that many shared similar feelings to Allen. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Some even said that Allen’s tweet didn’t go far enough, with one user commenting: ‘You win the Twitter Understatement of the Year Award.’ Others left comments such as ‘facts!’, and ‘simply put, and true.’ Of course, there were some who disagreed with Allen’s statement. One user said ‘it was the best thing to happen to the UK this century.’ Some users wanted Allen to give her reasonings for the statement. This isn’t the first time the 'Smile' singer has expressed her disagreement with the UK’s decision to leave the EU. Back in 2017, Allen posted a tweet that told Brexiteers they were ‘responsible for everything bad that happens to the UK.’ A YouGov poll from 2022 found 1 in 5 Britons who voted for Brexit now think it was the wrong decision. As well as Nigel Farage, a key Brexiteer in the Vote Leave campaign, admitting earlier this month that Brexit had ‘failed’. Have your say in our news democracy.
