Grimes has been speaking about her previous relationship with Elon Musk recently, and now it’s been reported that the billionaire gave Grimes a “trivia test” on Lord of the Rings when they first started dating. It’s one of the revelations to come from the upcoming biography Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson. The book, due to be released on 11 September, looks back at the early days of the pair’s relationship when they first met in 2018. Musk is the father of the singer’s three-year-old son X Æ A-XII and one-year-old daughter Exa Dark Sideræl also known as "Y". Isaacson shared an extract from the book which claims that Musk invited Grimes to Fremont, California, to visit his Tesla factory for “his idea of a good date”. Grimes told the author of the date: “We just walked the floor all night, and I watched him try to fix things.” Then, according to Isaacson’s account, while driving Grimes to a restaurant the following night, Musk showed the singer how fast his car accelerated and then took his hands off the wheel, covered his eyes and let Autopilot control the car. “I was like, oh s***, this guy is f***ing crazy,” Grimes told Isaacson. “The car was signalling and changing lanes by itself. It felt like a scene out of a Marvel movie.” When they arrived at the restaurant, Grimes compared Musk’s powers to those of Gandalf, which prompted the Tesla CEO to give the “Oblivion” singer a trivia test on The Lord of the Rings. “He wanted to see whether she was truly a faithful fan. We all know the GIF where Homer Simpson backs into a bush. Well now, Adidas might have created its best collaboration yet, by combining the famous meme and their classic Stan Smith trainer. The GIF, taken from a 1994 episode of The Simpsons, has been widely used online to express embarrassment in certain situations. "Him coming through the hedges was based on my childhood behaviour of walking through hedges in my neighbourhood. I would pretend that I was dimension-hopping," David Mirkin, who was a showrunner at the time, explained. "You can only do it a few times before you leave a hole, and so I did tens of thousands of dollars of damage to people’s hedges I’m sure." The iconic meme can now be found on the back of the Adidas trainer – and we must admit, they nailed the bush's texture. The texture of the bush definitely going to have to grab a pair of these." "Damn I need those in my life," another added, as a third reiterated: "These are actually brilliant." Meanwhile, one eagle-eyed creative joked: "Man I wish Homer was a lil more into the bush in the right shoe." This isn't the first time one of the show's characters has appeared on an Adidas shoe. In 2022, the Adidas Superstars payed homage to Marge Simpson and her famed blue do. The star not only showcased her hotly anticipated Eras Tour across the world but also surprised diehards with a film dedicated to her sold-out shows. Now, famed cinema giant AMC has given Swifties the chance to buy merchandise, with a collectable bucket and cup set for $24.99 on their website. Fans were ecstatic to learn the news and turned to X/Twitter to share their excitement to get their hands on the bundle. "22-minute wait to buy Taylor Swift The Eras Tour #AMC Movie Bundles on the merch site. Gotta love Swifties," one person wrote with a screenshot of the website explaining the site was "experiencing a high volume of traffic". Another noted: "Taylor Swift has people waiting in a 25-minute queue for a popcorn bucket and people say she isn’t the most popular artist alive right now." The merch was initially under AMC's 'merchandise' tab in the right-hand corner but has since seemed to have sold out. Many more fans experienced the disappointment firsthand, with one writing: "The one time I’m not on social media all day AMC puts the only piece of Taylor Swift merch I want (pink popcorn tin) online and I it sells out before I know about it." Another wrote: "I got into the AMC merch site and I can’t find any of the Taylor Swift stuff. They must’ve sold out" It's not all bad news though, as the AMC website suggests supplies are still available in some cinemas while supplies last. It comes after the 'Blank Space' singer released the film a day earlier than initially planned. "I can’t thank you enough for wanting to see this film that so vividly captures my favorite adventure I’ve ever been a part of: The Eras Tour," Swift shared on Instagram.
