The 23-year-old rapper from the Bronx has so far had quite the year, with two singles Bikini Bottom" as well as her collaboration with Nicki Minaj on 'Princess Diana', both of which appeared on her debut EP Like..?. She also featured on PinkPantheress song 'Boy’s a Liar, Pt. 2' and Taylor Swift's song 'Karma', along with collaborating with Nicki Minaj once more for the Barbie movie with the song 'Barbie World' which samples the 1997 song 'Barbie Girl' by Aqua. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter But with her career going from strength to strength, Ice Spice is encountering online trolls, with one recently posting a photo showing half of the rapper's face next to the face of a young woman with Down's syndrome, appearing to suggest Ice Spice has the genetic disorder. The tweet managed to get the attention of Ice Spice herself who sided with the Down's syndrome community with her response. In a quote tweet, she said: "U thought u ate but my sis cute asf," with a heart-eye emoji at the end. Ice Spice's response has people praising her attitude towards the troll. One person said: "Gotta give it to her she definitely blocks out EVERYTHING negative." "I respect her for this," another person wrote. Someone else added: "Ice Spice really may be the most unbothered celebrity. "She's literally our generation Princess Diana, I luv that for us," a fourth person commented. Mia Khalifa has doubled down on her TikTok comments after offering relationship advice to younger women while mentioning Tom Brady. In the initial clip, Khalifa candidly opened up about her relationship history, having been married twice and engaged three times. "Married at 18, divorced at 21. Second marriage: married at 25, divorced at 28. Third engagement: engaged at 29, ended it at 30, but I kept the ring and still keep Tom Brady on his toes," she joked. The former adult star said women "shouldn't be afraid to leave these men," adding: "We are not stuck with these people." "Marriage is not a prudish thing, it's paperwork. It's a commitment you make to someone, but if you feel like you're not getting anything out of that commitment and you're trying, you have to leave. You have to go," she continued. "I know it's hard to fill out paperwork and schedule appointments and do all this stuff. "But this is your f***ing life, do you want to be stuck with someone? Period." Now, Khalifa has followed up with a second clip, in which she addressed the backlash. "I’m failing to see what’s wrong in telling young women - who get married young - that if they are in relationships that are unhealthy and toxic, and make them unhappy, that just because they made a ‘commitment,’ they are not stuck in these relationships," she said. @miakhalifa #stitch with @Mia K. Period. She went on to suggest those making such comments tend to be men who dislike their partner being confident. "[The ones] who are afraid of their women having self realisations, and exercising free will, and leaving them," she continued. Jada Pinkett Smith has shared how she was once asked on a date by none other than Chris Rock. In an interview with NBC, the 52-year-old actor also made headlines after revealing that she and her husband Will Smith have been secretly separated for several years but have no plans to divorce. "So he called me and basically he was like, ‘I'd love to take you out.’ And I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ He was like, ‘Well, aren't you and Will getting a divorce?’ I was like, ‘No. Chris, those are just rumors'.” She added: “He was appalled. And he profusely apologised, and that was that.” The Smiths and Rock would find themselves in the headlines years later after Will Smith infamously slapped the comedian and host of the 2022 Oscars after he made a joke about Pinkett Smith during the awards ceremony.
