Uncle Albert was a key part of the success of the timeless comedy Only Fools and Horses for years, but people are only just releasing how ripped he is. Only fools and horses work out, it seems… Buster Merryfield played the part of Rodney and Del Boy’s uncle on the hit show from series four onwards, replacing the late Lennard Pearce who played Grandad. His character was known for living an unhealthy lifestyle, smoking and drinking as he regaled Rodney and Del Boy with tall tales from his time in the Navy. But the reality couldn’t be further from the truth, as Merryfield was the model of health off-camera. He spoke back in 1997 revealing that he’d never smoked or drank in his life, and use to be a successful boxer in his youth. Merryfield was a keen exerciser too, swimming regularly well into his 70s. The last episode may have aired back in 2003, but people are only just appreciating how jacked Uncle Albert was in the show. A Twitter/X user shared a pair of screengrabs from the series, adding the caption: “Is it just me or is Uncle Albert f***ing hench?” The post sparked a big reaction from fans of the show, with one joking: “Well he did used to box in the Navy.” Another vibed: “This is the standard old man build for Peckham, only way to have survived it back then. Hit the weights or get weighed in.” "Buster Merryfield was a unit mate... Had great shape, you wouldn't want to receive a real life 'Trotter's Trembler',” another commented. With the release of '1989 (Taylor's Version)' today, comes five 'From the Vault' tracks for Swifties to enjoy - but there is one vault song in particular that was teased nearly 10 years ago. (We're talking before the original '1989' was released). The second of the five vault tracks called "Say Don't Go," was written by Swift and legendary songwriter Diane Warren and the heartfelt pop track has been a hit with Swifties. Warren has written some of the biggest hits in music for other notable female artists such as Cher, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. In January 2014, Warren herself spoke to Billboard about collaborating with Swift on a "great song,” adding that she was “excited" about it. When the interviewer commented on the fact Swift had said the songs for 1989 had come along quicker than expected, Warren replied: "Yeah I have no idea... I have no idea what she [Swift] has done but I'm excited about the one [song] that we did it's pretty cool." Though when October 27 rolled around that year, the collaboration didn't feature on the album. Luckily for us, this “pretty cool” track finally got to see the light of day. Taylor Swift has announced that her Eras tour will be hitting the big screen, with the concert film being released in cinemas in North America on October 13. In the announcement, Swift described how the sell-out stadium tour has been "the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far," as well as letting fans know tickets are on sale now. "Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged...," she added, before signing off the post with "1, 2, 3 LGB!!!! (iykyk) [If you know you know]." For this last part, Swifties know all about this abbreviation as it is a fan chant that stands for "1, 2, 3, let's go b****!" This first became a thing when a fan shouted this during Swift's performance of 'Delicate' during her Reputation Stadium Tour. When Swift sings the line: "We can’t make, any promises now can we babe, but you can make me a drink…,” there is a brief pause before the verse where fans chant: "1, 2, 3, let's go b****!" Clearly, the 'Anti-Hero' singer has heard this chant loud and clear during her Eras Tour shows to include this fan lore in her latest post. It's not the first time Swift has released a film documenting her career milestones, as on Netflix there is the Miss Americana (2020) documentary that chronicles her musical journey and details her personal life. While fans of the 2017 reputation album can relive the live shows as the stadium tour was recorded - and both films are currently available to stream on Netflix. In 2020, the Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions where Swift performed the songs and gave insight into how they were made was released by Disney+. Most recently, Swift released All Too Well: The Short Film in 2021 where fans can watch the short film on YouTube and at the time it was also released in select theaters by Universal Pictures.
