LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kanye West and Taylor Swift's followers are at odds about who has received the most "proper" awards.
The 33-year-old 'Bejeweled' hitmaker undoubtedly reigned supreme during the 2023 MTV VMAs.
Swift took home the most awards at the VMAs held on September 12, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
The 'Epiphany' singer was nominated for 11 awards of which she won nine, including Artist of the Year, Best Pop, Song of the Year and Video of the Year, per USA Today.
However, while Swift and her fans celebrate the singer's victory, Kanye West's fans started a debate over who has won the most music awards.

A person with the username @bytaylorsdesign took to X and published what they called a "fun fact."
The person tweeted, "Fun fact: Taylor Swift won more VMAs tonight than Kanye West has in his entire career," which attracted 4.1 million views and hundreds of comments that sparked a fan war between the two musicians.
A West fan responded, "And she still has less Grammys than Kanye," to which a Swiftie replied, "And he’s still won zero (0) in the main categories."
A West fan wrote, "VMA awards are like toys compared to Grammys and I think Kanye has double hers." "Not a good take at all," responded a Swiftie.
West's fans did not hold back with one commenting, "VMA Awards? Check the Grammy plaques lmao." "Fun fact: he made her famous," said another.
Swifities soon stepped in to protect their idol as one said, "TAYLOR SWIFT HAS ONE OF THE BEST CAREERS OF ALL TIMES!!!" "She! Is! The! Music! Industry!" said another.

A fan of West's countered with, "And even if he didn’t have any, he actually makes good music which is a flex she doesn’t have, it’s all that matters
West and Swift's relationship has reportedly been a roller coaster ride, beginning with the 2009 VMAs.
West cut off Swift's acceptance speech for Best Female Video at the awards, claiming Beyonce had one of the greatest music videos ever.
According to reports, West spoke about the incident on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' and acknowledged that it was improper and impolite, per PEOPLE.
