LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Alec Baldwin who recently underwent hip replacement surgery is currently recovering in his room which, according to his wife Hilaria, is filled with feline feces. She candidly told her 999,000 followers on Instagram that her husband had to deal with the situation as he picked up the feces.
"Alec has to sleep in a room that’s safe for him to get around the first few days of his hip surgery. Carmen, Alec, and I went out for a little bit and we came back to the cats leaving some surprises in that room which was poop because some of them are babies," Hilaria shared in her Instagram story.
Baldwin 'bent down to pick up and inspect some cat poop'
Talking about the less-than-ideal environment in which the 'Beetlejuice' actor is recovering, Hilaria, the mother-of-seven, said, "The cats are normally clean, but occasionally s*** happens. You can imagine he wasn’t super excited to see that," and the 65-year-old actor "bent down to pick up and inspect some cat poop, thinking perhaps it was perhaps a crumbled-up black crayon."
Baldwin picked up the stool with his bare hands and confirmed that it was not a coloring instrument after he held it up to his nose. It’s "the best part of the story," she said.
Hilaria previously posted a video of the family's new kitten, Camilia Valenciana Azul. "She’s a charcoal Bengal and siblings with our other two…Emilio is brown, and Cayetana is snow…got pretty much the whole Bengal rainbow now. I’m truly a cat lady," she captioned the Instagram post.
Baldwin's hip replacement surgery
In a recent picture posted on Instagram of Hilaria sitting next to her husband in a hospital bed, the 38-year-old yoga instructor shared the news of his hip replacement procedure and thanked the doctors.
"Alec got a new hip today…it was a long time necessary. We have been through so much together…as your partner and as you heal, I want so very much for you to leave this very intense chronic pain chapter behind and improve your quality of life," Hilaria captioned the post under which the actor thanked his wife and commented, "And you. Thanks to you."
The comedian previously faced involuntary manslaughter charges in connection to the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during the shooting of the film 'Rust' after he allegedly shot her with a prop gun. In April 2023, prosecutors dropped criminal charges against him, according to New York Post. The actor has now reached a "fair and appropriate" settlement with Hutchins' 10-year-old son Andros Hutchins.
