STONE MOUNTAIN, GEORGIA: 'Extreme Weight Loss' star Brandi Mallory dies at the age of 40 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The cause of the death of ABC's former reality star has not yet been disclosed.
As per Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office reports People confirmed the death of Brandi on November 9, 2023. We saw Brandi struggling to lose weight in 'Extreme Weight Loss' Season 4 in 2014.
After doing ABC's reality show, Brandi was interviewed by Ask Kirby Carroll where she discussed the story of her life after the show. The former TV personality confessed that the death of her sorority sisters at the age of 29, a week younger than her, pushed her towards a weight loss journey.
Seeing her sister's death, Brandi felt, "I was literally waking up every day like this might be my last day waking up, like, I don't know what's going to happen for me."
She added, "When it's playing on your mind that I might need to do something about my weight because I'm afraid I might die too, then you might need to pay attention to something like that."
Family pays tribute to Brandi Mallory, organizes memorial service on Sunday
Brandi's family paid heartfelt tribute to her. The friends and family honored a candlelight vigil on November 12. Her Orbituary reveals that the memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 19 in Lithonia, Georgia.
'Extreme Weight Loss' co-star Kim Williams Maxile also wrote a heartfelt post for Brandi, saying, "Rest in Love sis. To my fellow Extreme Weight Loss @extweightloss sis, @brandimallory you will be missed. I’ll never forget while I was at boot camp for season 5 we watched your season and it inspired us to keep going."
Kim added, "You truly made an impact on this world with your zest and your passion for body positivity. I’m blessed to have gotten to experienced you in this world."
Brandi Mallory was rejected by 'The Biggest Loser' producers
Brandi said in the interview that 'Extreme Weight Loss' was not the only show she was looking forward to get into. Brandi saw the casting call for 'The Biggest Loser.' However, she was not picked by the producers for that show.
She then sen her application to 'Extreme Weight Loss.' Brandi claimed, "Literally every footstep since then has been God. I prayed over that application before I sent it off; I prayed every step of the way."
The former TV personality is thenseen showcasing how she cut down her weight from 329 lbs.
