LOW ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Lawrence is not afraid to admit that she’s aging and that her face has changed over the years.
The actress, who is a mother, also credits her makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, for creating the illusion of having cosmetic surgery.
In a revealing conversation with Kylie Jenner for Interview Magazine, Lawrence shuts down the plastic surgery rumors and shares how makeup and time have transformed her appearance.
Jennifer Lawrence says it 'incredible' what makeup can do
Lawrence, who is 33 years old and recently welcomed her first child, says she’s seen a lot of online speculation about her appearance after attending the Dior Fashion Show in October.
Some suggested that she had a nose job, while others noted that she was simply getting older and had a baby.
“I also think it’s incredible what makeup can do because I work with Hung [Vanngo], who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon, because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery,” Lawrence told Jenner.
“I’m like, ‘I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing makeup,’” she added.
Kylie Jenner relates to the plastic surgery rumors
Jenner, who is the founder of Kylie Cosmetics and has admitted to getting lip fillers in the past, says she understands how makeup can create the illusion of having fuller lips.
She also says she’s frustrated by the comparisons of her 12-year-old face and her 26-year-old face, which she says are unfair and unrealistic.
“I did end up getting lip fillers, but it’s also the same with me,” Jenner said, adding “I’ll see before and after photos when I’m 12 years old versus 26 and my eyebrows are filled differently."
"I have contour on. I’m like, ‘How can you compare my 12-year-old face and say I’ve gotten my jaw shaved and eyelids removed?’ I’m like, ‘What are we talking about?’” she further said.
Jennifer Lawrence embraces her natural beauty
Lawrence agreed that it’s all about the aging process and how it changes your face.
She said she’s been accused of having a nose job since she started her career at 19, but she insists that her nose is the same and her cheeks got smaller as she grew up.
“I have the same thing,” she said, adding “I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30 and I’m like, ‘I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m aging.'
"Everybody thought I had a nose job, and I’m like, ‘I’ve had the exact same nose. My cheeks got smaller.’ Thank you for bringing it up," she added.
