NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ seems to have missed the memo for throwing a great Halloween show this year according to one angry and disappointed fan.
The morning show, renowned for celebrating holidays and festivals with a touch of class and joy, seems to have fallen flat for Halloween this year.
The fan was disappointed as Lara Spencer, Robin Roberts, Lindsey Davis, and George Stephanopolous didn't seem to be in the Halloween spirit this year. None of them dressed for the occasion and they did not seem interested in celebrating the holiday.
Keeping that in mind, the ardent fan took to X (formerly Twitter) and expressed their disappointment at ‘GMA’ for making their Halloween broadcast boring.
GMA’s Halloween spirit was missing this year
To kickstart the celebrations in the studio, the ABC program's set was designed with a plethora of Halloween decorations.
There was a green screen behind the morning show hosts that displayed a spooky forest that had bats flying through it. Also on set were black witches' hats and black candles positioned behind the couch where on-air guests sat.
The decorations were befitting not only for the holiday but also for the annual Halloween costume contest segment.
However, the hosts on the morning - Spencer, Stephanopoulos, and Roberts didn’t cater to the vibe of Halloween.
Unlike the guests who visited the show, who all wore costumes, each TV anchor sported their typical professional business attire rather than a Halloween costume.
This became a point of disappointment for a fan who later shared their fury and displeasure with the world.
‘GMA’ shared a brief clip from a Halloween costume contest on-air where the families battle it out for a big prize.
The fan took their chance and wrote in the comments, “I’m disappointed that the anchors aren’t dressed up in costumes this year!"
The person continued, "What is going on? I understand George because he never likes to be in costume but the others always seem to have fun!”
‘GMA’ meteorologist Ginger Zee surprised followers with bizarre Halloween look
The ‘GMA’ meteorologist was in full Halloween spirit as she dressed up as a corpse bride for the occasion.
Zee’s family also shot a small video at home for Halloween and shared the spirit of the festival with her followers.
For her Halloween party, Zee wore a white strapless tulle corset maxi high-low dress and paired it with nude platform heels.
She had her face painted blue, which matched the hue of the long-haired wig she sported. On top of her hair was a headband made of black and red roses.
