MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Jada Pinkett Smith continues to share over-the-top revelations this week, this time on the 'Late Show With Stephen Colbert' in New York City on October 16.
The 52-year-old author of 'Worthy' seemed ready to unleash more drama, dressed in a striking black crop top with long sleeves and a pair of elegant trousers.
Jada says 'no reason to get a divorce'
Jada appeared to be in high spirits, radiating happiness — this comes in the wake of her bombshell revelation on the 'Today Show' last week, disclosing that she has, in fact, been separated from the 'Fresh Prince' star for seven years.
Opening up to Hoda Kotb, she shared, "By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying. I think we were both still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be."
Despite their separation, the actress remains steadfast in her decision not to file for divorce.
She revealed to Hoda that she made a solemn vow to Will—never to give him a reason for them to part ways, even after openly acknowledging an affair with August Alsina in 2020.
"I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce," she affirmed.
Despite the apparent authenticity with which the Maryland-born beauty has been sharing her experiences, some fans have criticized her for the constant barrage of her drama-inducing "reveals" as she hit the talk show circuit.
Fans beg Jada 'to be quiet'
In light of the converasation between Jada and Colbert, 'The Late Show' tweeted, ""Worthy" by @jadapsmith is stirring up a lot of conversation and she's setting the record straight on her relationship with Will Smith." The tweet then quoted Jada saying, "For my own healing I just call us life partners, but he's my dude."
Under the post, one user commented, "She's been Red Table Talking since 2018—what's she got to sell now that she didn't tell then?"
One X post read, "No she's not. Literally NO ONE has asked for this information, NO ONE cares, and it's frankly creeping people out. Check social media; people are literally begging her to be quiet."
Another wrote, "100% certain her marriage is none of my business. Why is she always trying to tell me about it? She’s becoming that super annoying co-worker we all avoid."
Another said, "What the hell does that even mean? He's my dude?? Whatever."
