NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Tuesday, August 29, Indian-American entrepreneur and GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy appeared on ‘Hannity.’ Fox News anchor Sean Hannity addressed Ramaswamy’s statement on aid to Israel.
As The Times of Israel reported, Ramaswamy voiced last week that the US should reduce its aid to Israel, separating himself from other Republican candidates. Hannity more than just brushed upon this during Ramaswamy’s most recent appearance on Fox News.
In addition, Hannity also posted a clip of this conversation on X, and the Fox News anchor faced backlash, as several supported Ramaswamy after this segment.
Sean Hannity doesn’t back down against Vivek Ramaswamy
Sean Hannity’s staff who handles his Twitter have themselves admitted that Hannity 'grilled' Vivek Ramaswamy on Fox News. The tweet read, “Hannity Grills Ramaswamy Denying He Said Aid to Israel Would Stop in 2028: ‘You Want Me to Read It?’”
As the segment began, Hannity made it clear that he did not want to rehash Ramaswamy’s battle with Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, which happened over the weekend.
Instead, Hannity moved on to the main topic at hand, “You said aid to Israel, our number one ally, the only democracy in the region, should end in 2028.”
Ramaswamy was quick to stop Hannity, “That’s false.” Hannity snapped back almost immediately, “I have the exact quote, want me to read it?” Ramaswamy tried to defend himself, but Hannity did not back down and instead doubled down as he grilled the GOP candidate.
Hannity and Ramaswamy both participated in a back-and-forth on Fox News until Ramaswamy clarified that he would treat the country’s relationship with Israel as a “true friendship” and not just a “transactional relationship.”
However, Hannity did not stop the grilling as he kept mentioning “direct quotes” and Ramaswamy rebuked by explaining that those were headlines from the opposition. After this, the internet came to Ramaswamy’s defense, as some people labeled Hannity a “jerk.”

People have responded to this clip posted on Fox News anchor Sean Hannity’s account, as several applauded and defended Vivek Ramaswamy.
One person wrote, “Vivek is superb .. we need a leader like him, not only for the U.S. but for the entire world..” Another person said, “Hannity how come you’re so nice to Newsome, but you’re a jerk to Vivek?”
Some have also pointed out the particulars of this interview, “This was another speech by Hannity. He never lets his guest speak.” Hannity was also called a “phony” after this interview as one person tweeted, “When Sean doesn't like a candidate, he acts like a real interviewer. When it comes to Trump, he never calls out his lies. Phony.”
