KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Despite widespread rumors, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are not house hunting together in the Chiefs star's hometown, Kansas City.
On the October 16 episode of the NBC morning show 'Today With Hoda and Jenna,' Jenna Bush Hager had ignited rumors of the house-buying.
However, an insider confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the duo has no plans to buy a house together.
Taylor Swift's blossoming romance with Travis Kelce
"A friend from Kansas City texted me there might be news they're buying a house," Hagers said on the show.
Hager, with her co-host Hoda Kotb, discussed how "crazy" media and fans are acting about Swift's blossoming relationship with the NFL player. However, after starting the rumor, she immediately said it was "not confirmed by NBC News."
The Super Bowl champion and the 'Anti-Hero' singer started making headlines about their budding romance at the end of September.
As per media reports, their relationship started after Kelce attended Swift's Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. At the event, the Kansas City Chiefs player fumbled while trying to give the singer a friendship bracelet that had his phone number.
'Travis and Taylor are taking things slowly'
"Travis has been into Taylor for a while and definitely has a crush on her," ET cited a source.
"Travis and Taylor are taking things slowly, and not rushing into anything serious. Both are very career-focused, so the focus is on that for now, but that's not going to stop them from enjoying life when it's the right moment," said the source.
Last month, Swift also attended the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium. The singer has attended more games since then.
The duo frequently travels between Swift's primary residence in New York and Kelce's hometown, Kansas City, to maintain their long-distance relationship.
The couple made their first official outing together on October 14, walking hand in hand to the Saturday Night Live after-party venue.
'Good call,' the internet says as sources quash rumors
Despite the couple's latest date nights, the internet has been supportive when they learned they are not buying a house together.
A user tweeted, "Yeah that would be way too soon. Good call."
Another user sharing a photo of the couple holding hands said,"The important thing is that they are happy!"
"We don't care if they're buying a house together or not. It's enough that they're together and happy," stated a Swiftie.
Another one said, "Let them have fun."
A fifth user opined, "They need to date for 2-3 years at least before making a commitment."
"Why would they buy a house? They haven't been together for that long," stated one user.
While another user said, "I didn't expect them to tbh. it's only been a few months. maybe next year around when tour wraps up they will."
"Their relationship is new and they will buy a house when they get married," tweeted one user.
