LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It finally appears that Jamie Foxx is recovering well and feeling great following a month-long stay in a Georgia hospital due to an undisclosed medical emergency. The 55-year-old actor was hospitalized on April 11 in Atlanta, Georgia, after he experienced what his daughter described as a "medical complication" on an Instagram post.
Now nearly a month later, his daughter Corinne Foxx confirmed in her story that her father is home and feeling well enough to engage in some physical activity. Slamming reports that Jamie’s close ones were “preparing for the worst,” Corinne wrote that “Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone's prayers and support!” Despite the positive update, it is still not clear what led to Foxx's health scare and why he was hospitalized in the first place. It is also unclear why his family has kept the situation tightly under wraps.

'If he is OK, this was a publicity stunt'
The secrecy around Foxx’s health condition has kept most of his fans worried even as they tweeted their prayers and wishes for the actor's quick recovery. However, there are also some users who believe that it was just a publicity stunt for his upcoming movie. “This Jamie Foxx situation giving publicity stunt, I’ll say it!” one user wrote while a second user said “He got death rumors flying and people thinking he dead and he can’t just say he’s ok? If he is Ok this was a publicity stunt.” “Jamie Foxx and his family used this as a fake publicity stunt,” another commented.
“Really if true, it would have been nice for the family to come out and thank everyone for the prayers and support, and we will keep lifting Jamie Foxx up in prayer, but now this sounds like a publicity stunt,” another user asserted. These claims came after insiders with knowledge had told TMZ that the ‘Amazing Spiderman’ star "needs all the prayers and well-wishes his fans can muster." The tipster had also told the outlet, "He's OK, thank God. He's still in the hospital and doctors are running tests but he's awake and alert. They're keeping him under observation.”
'Getting better'
Previously it was revealed that Foxx has been replaced by Nick Cannon as host of the FOX game show ‘Beat Shazam!’ Cannon also expressed concern for his friend and said, “Man, I’m praying". Foxx’s close pal Kevin Hart also offered a positive update about his health, saying “The dope thing is that he's getting better in his situation, and you know, everybody's prayers, everybody's love, energy. I'm very fortunate to have the relationship that I have with Jamie and to be able to just check on him and stuff like that," he said during an appearance on 'Impaulsive' podcast, adding that Foxx's family was being "tight" with details because "Jamie's always been a private person to a certain degree."
"So in this case, man, you know, you just want the guy to get out of the situations and then get back home. You know, I don't know the details or the exact details of what's going on, but to my knowledge, there's a lot of progressions and a world of better, man," the ‘Jumaji’ star continued. Natasha Blasick, Foxx’s ‘All-Star Weekend’ co-star, recently told Entertainment Tonight that she had been chatting with him and that he was healing. Other celebrities, like LeBron James, Jennifer Hudson, Tracy Morgan, Jennifer Lopez, and Steve Harvey, have also expressed their 'get well soon' wishes to the actor after hearing of his ill-health.
