WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Rebel Wilson is having a blast with her nine-month-old daughter Royce, who is a "water baby" just like her mom. 'The Senior Year' actress, who became a mom via surrogate in November last year, couldn’t stop gushing about her little angel in an exclusive interview with E! News.
Rebel said that the best part of her day is when she sees Royce’s smile after a nap. “When she wakes up from a nap and you first walk into a room and the look Royce gives me and I give her, it’s like we’ve only maybe not seen each other for 45 minutes,” she said.
Is Rebel Wilson planning another Baby?
“...She’s smiling like it’s the best thing that’s happened in her life that you’ve walked into the room. And then I’m like, ‘Oh, Roycie!’ And I just give her the biggest hugs," added Wilson. She also revealed that her 'miracle child' has spoken her first words and it's just heartwarming how she describes it, she says, “I just love her so much and she’s such a little angel,” Rebel said. “She just last week had her first word, which was Mum. So I was like, ‘Ahhh!!’ because I have been trying to coach her in saying that for the last few weeks. And then she said it, and I recorded it on my phone and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh.’”
Rebel also revealed that she is thinking about giving Royce a sibling, but it’s not a sure thing. “I would like to have another child,” she said. “It’s just like, well, is that possible? I have to do IVF. We’ll see how it goes.” 'The Pitch Perfect' alum said that Royce is a miracle baby and she would be happy even if she’s her only child.
Rebel’s summer adventures with Royce and Ramona and the first mosquito bite
She also shared that Royce is a great traveler and has been to many places with her parents, including Dubai, Aspen, and the Caribbean.
Rebel said that she is looking forward to directing her first movie, 'The Deb', in Australia later this year, where Royce will get to enjoy another summer. “She’ll be living it up,” Rebel said.
The 43-year-old actress also talked about how she protects Royce from mosquito bites, which she is very sensitive about after contracting malaria from a mosquito when she was a teenager. "She's had her first little mosquito bite on her leg and I was like, 'Nooo!'" She said that she uses Zevo’s flying insect trap and repellant spray to keep the bugs away from her daughter.
'Everything she does kind of melts me'
Wilson shared that her baby loves swimming and they fill a little baby pool with water and then take it to the big pool. "Because I'm like that. I'm a Pisces." She says, "We take her swimming every day," adding, "We got her a little little baby pool and we fill that up or we take her in the big pool. And she's really loving it." Rebel admitted that “Sometimes I’m not the most patient”—but, she said, when it comes to her baby girl, “Everything she does kind of melts me.”
