MUMBAI, INDIA: Darren Watkins, widely recognized as IShowSpeed, recently wore an Indian groom attire, known as sherwani. As she mounted the horse, the 19-year-old YouTuber began to dance to the sound of the drums.
In South Asia, men traditionally wear a long-sleeved outer garment called the sherwani. It is a well-fitted garment with minimal waist suppression, extending just beyond the knees.
The front of the sherwani is buttoned, resembling the Western frock coat. It may have a stand-up collar, similar to a Mandarin collar, a shirt-style collar, or no collar at all.
IShowSpeed enjoys Indian wedding custom
During his livestream, the YouTuber decided to embrace the customs of Indian weddings for entertainment. He adorned a beige upper garment with maroon bottoms, accompanied by a head cover known as 'sehra' or turban. To complete the look, Speed wore beige Indian footwear.
Speed mounted the horse and commenced dancing to express his joy. The horse started moving, growing restless from the loud drumming as the YouTuber continued dancing.
Speed had difficulty maintaining his balance as the horse moved, and he was on the brink of falling. However, his security intervened swiftly to prevent the fall. A user on the platform shared the clip, stating, "Speed bodyguard saved him from falling from a horse in India."
IShowSpeed visited India to meet his favorite Indian cricketer Virat Kholi. He even collaborated with Indian rapper MC Stan, hinting at his unreleased music. However, some fans trolled him for the collaboration.
