LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jack Nicholson’s son Ray Nicholson appeared like a carbon copy of his famous father from his younger days as the two watched their favorites, the Los Angeles Lakers, play against the Denver Nuggets. The father-son pair were reportedly seen cheering for the team during the Saturday game, May 20, inside the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles.
‘The Shining’ star wore a navy blue t-shirt, a black jacket, and a pair of black pants for the outing while his son went for a plaid jacket and a black shirt, which he teamed up with denim. However, despite their support, the Lakers lost to the Nuggets 0-3, Hollywood Life reported.

‘Jack Nicholson is a national treasure’
The recent sighting happened weeks after the legendary actor went with Ray for another Lakers game against the Golden State Warriors on April 28. Meanwhile, the May 20 sighting attracted a few hilarious comments online with a user tweeting, “Jack Nicholson is all of us when we show up to work on Monday morning and a coworker asks us if we had a good weekend.”
A second user wrote, “Jack Nicholson is a National treasure. He seems as carelessly grumpy in real life as he was in many of his movie roles. People were writing this guy off as being on heaven’s door a few weeks ago. Jack looks fine to me. What’s your favorite movie of his? There were so many…”
“Jack Nicholson looking like he just woke up and went straight to the game. Love it,” a third posted. Another stated, “He's probably just happy he still wakes up! Love that he never got the creepy cosmetic surgery-he looks just like he should.” “His assistant needs to be fired, like no one can comb his hair real quick as you going into a game I mean come on, show him enough respect to clean him up a tad,” someone added.
‘It is an ongoing education’
Meanwhile, ‘The Departed’ actor has been living a life away from the limelight lately, which has not come just out of the blue. Years ago, in 1993, he revealed to The Deseret News why was he “sparing with interviews.” Nicholson shared, “The reasons are: You say things you think are dumb, and now you've got to read it in the papers; you say something that you couldn't conceive that could hurt someone's feelings.”
“Tonight I can guarantee you that when I lie down I'll think, `Now what the hell did I say to Bob? Is some wild thing going to go out and I'll have somebody call me on the phone?' It's not that you want to do or not do something. It's just a little bit out of your control. Acting people don't like to feel self-conscious, they really don't,” he added.
At the time, Nicholson also explained why he became an actor. He said, “I drifted in. Once in, I just loved the job. There's one thing they can't take away from this particular profession: It is an ongoing education. You do go on learning about people, things, how the world works, and what people are feeling. If you set people down, learning is really what they're after in life.”
