MIAMI, FLORIDA: 'Wild 'N Out' star Jacky Oh's tragic death has brought attention to the fact that the surgeon scheduled to perform her "mommy makeover" was not board certified. Dr Zachary Okhah, an MD in Florida, lacks certification as a specialist in plastic surgery, according to the Board of American Plastic Surgery, as revealed exclusively by The Sun.
Jacky Oh, a mother of three with comedian DC Young Fly, was discovered non-responsive in a hotel in Miami on May 31. Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to the hospital, she died before midnight, according to the Miami Police Department. In a social media post, the popular influencer shared a photo of herself in a hospital gown, smiling alongside Dr Okhah. She expressed her excitement about the upcoming procedure and openly discussed her anticipation for the transformation. "Getting ready for my mommy makeover with Dr. Zach!! Stay tuned to my YouTube for the full reveal," she said.
Dr Zachary Okhah is not a certified plastic surgeon
Dr Okhah, despite being a licensed medical doctor in Florida, has not obtained board certification as a plastic surgeon, as confirmed by the Board of American Plastic Surgery. While it is legally permissible to perform plastic surgery procedures with a medical license, it is widely advised to seek out doctors who have completed the certification process. Board certification involves fulfilling specific training requirements and passing comprehensive examinations administered by the board. This certification is an important indicator of a surgeon's expertise and adherence to recognized standards in the field of plastic surgery.
Dr Zachary Okhah specializes in liposuction and Brazilian butt lifts
Dr Okhah, based in PH-1 Miami, is known for his expertise in performing liposuction and Brazilian butt lifts, according to his posts showcasing successful results on Instagram. The Brazilian butt lift (BBL) involves transferring fat from other areas of the body to enhance the shape and curves of the buttocks, aligning with the popular trend among people who want an hourglass figure. Nevertheless, it is crucial to acknowledge the serious risks associated with this procedure. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, an estimated one in 3,000 patients face mortality either during or shortly after the surgery. This underscores the importance of thorough research and consultation with certified professionals before undergoing any cosmetic procedure.
