LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Garner apparently has some sympathy for her frazzled ex-husband Ben Affleck but she is determined to stay away from his ‘pressure cooker marriage’ to Jennifer Lopez. The ‘Justice League’ actor, 50, and the superstar, 53, exchanged vows in a romantic ceremony last year, but recently they have been spotted exchanging a few heated words.
Earlier this month, the couple, who initially met back in 2002, was out for a coffee run when the 'Batman' star was seen 'slamming the car door' in his wife’s face. Later, the pair were seen having a seemingly tense exchange at the launch of JLo’s latest Netflix project ‘The Mother’ in Los Angeles on May 10. The couple was photographed on the red carpet where Affleck appeared to sternly point towards something and Jennifer also made pointing gestures. Following the tense row, unsubstantiated reports claimed that Affleck was "growing tired of Lopez's diva demands".

“She could be forgiven for saying, 'I told you so'”
Now, a source claimed that Garner, who parted ways with Affleck in 2015, "will always feel love" for him and sympathizes with the "crazy situation", but will not be getting embroiled in his marriage drama. "Jen doesn't want a full-on war with JLo - it would create difficulties for their co-parenting situation but she's also sick of bailing Ben out,” the insider said, according to Mirror. The tipster further dished that "she could be forgiven for saying, 'I told you so', but that really isn't her style. It gives her no pleasure to see the father of her kids in a vulnerable position, but it doesn't surprise her.”
According to the insider, 'The Last Thing He Told Me' actor is "all too aware" that Ben is "up to his neck in the drama" but she has made the hard choice to stay out of it. The source also discussed how Affleck's family members responded when they learned that he had rekindled his romance with the ‘Mother’ star. "Of course, Jen would never admit this, but neither she nor the majority of Ben's close friends believed that this reunion with Jennifer was the fairytale they tried to paint it as," the source told Heat magazine.
'Ben wants to slow down a little'
These claims came after another source told the Sun that Affleck is "growing tired" of JLo's "diva demands". The insider said Affleck prefers a more laid-back lifestyle and "wants to slow down", but JLo is more business-focused and "all-or-nothing". “Ben wants to slow down a little. He needs that, but it’s not really how Jennifer does things. She’s an all-or-nothing type and has more energy than Ben. There’s no off switch and this is just not somebody who is down for Netflix and chill. This will undoubtedly create tension as Jen prepares to make 'Unstoppable', which Ben’s new company Artists Equity is financing and producing,” the source dished, adding that the ‘Air’ actor already has a lot on his plate with his new company.
