LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jeremy Renner has been open about his recovery journey after being crushed by his own six-ton snowplow in a heroic act to save his nephew on New Year's Day.
10 months since the accident, Renner reveals he has tried every type of therapy to get back on his feet after the accident left him with "30 broken bones."
The therapies that Jeremy Renner has tried
On Monday, November 6, 'The Hurt Locker' star shared a poignant message with his followers saying, “I have been exploring every type of therapy since January 14."
He listed some of the therapies he has tried, such as physical therapy, peptide injections, stem cell and exosomes, red light/IR therapy, hyperbaric chamber, and cold plunge, reports The Sun.
He said, "The list goes on." Renner, despite trying all these therapies, said, “But, my greatest therapy has been my mind and the will to be here and push to recover and be better…. Be exceptional.”
He said he felt it was his duty to do so, not to squander his life being spared, "but to give back to my family, friends, and all of you whom have empowered me to endure."
Jeremy Renner said he was lucky to be alive
Renner’s accident occurred when he was trying to help his nephew out of the snow near his home in Lake Tahoe.
His Sno-Cat, a large snow plow that weighs at least 14,330 pounds, rolled back and crushed him.
He told People magazine in an interview, “I was trying to stop it from hitting him and it ran me over.” He said he was lucky to be alive and that his nephew was fine.
Fans tell Jeremy Renner to be thankful for the medical treatment he can afford
Many fans told him that his attitude was "inspiring" while some said he should appreciate the treatments.
One of the Instagram commented on his post writing, "Please be thankful and appreciate that you are afforded those medical treatments. Some of us are not as fortunate."
A second user wrote, "Your attitude is inspiring. Your fans will always be here for you. Repair, rest, adapt, believe, repeat."
