Fallon calls Adele the 'designated survivor'
A minute into the show, Fallon said, "Last night was the premier of Taylor Swift's Eras tour movie...and get this, Beyonce was there! She posed with Taylor on the red carpet".

"Now we need to have someone safe at all times".
'The News: Taylor Swift Version'
Then came Fallon's clever play on words, monologuing the current political fiasco with 21 Taylor Swift songs.
Fallon, in the following segment, 'The News: Taylor Swift Version', said, "Last week the Congress ousted Kevin Maccarthy and said 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'".
"So when it comes to the speaker of the house, we just have a 'Blank Space', which everyone knows 'All Too Well'".
"The whole thing started because there was major 'Bad Blood' in the Republican party....I mean it took 'Fifteen' votes to even elect McCarthy".
"Then Matt Gaetz wanted to play the 'Anti-Hero'; so McCarthy was like..dude! 'You Need To Calm Down'. Are you trying to ruin my 'Reputation'? and Gaetz was like...yeah! 'This Is Me Trying".
"Meanwhile Biden watched the whole thing like, 'You're On Your Own Kid', though 'Betty' is getting a kick out of it".
'So, 'Long Story Short', the Republican party is looking at Steve Scalise like, 'Hey Stephen', we know you are the 'Mastermind', but we'll be able to 'Tolerate it' because were now in the 'Endgame', even if it takes, '22' votes".
"You...'Ready For It?', That's when Maccarthy is like, hey! wait, what about 'ME'? and he was like pffff....'I Forgot That You Existed'".
Next Fallon picked up Swift's 'Cardigan' song, and punning on it, originally meaning to say 'card again'.
"But no! you can't play that 'Cardigan!'".
