AUSTIN, TEXAS: When it comes to the subject of transgender fighters, Joe Rogan has never held back. The 56-year-old is particularly severe in his criticism of combat sports in which transgender men compete against their cis-gendered counterparts.
Therefore, the UFC commentator didn't hold back when the subject of the alleged far-left philosophies of forced inclusion and diversity jeopardizing military readiness came up during episode #2043 of 'Joe Rogan Experience' podcast.
Joe Rogan talks about trans fighters in combat sports
The incident took place after podcast guest Konstantin Kisin complained that the American Army had a hard time locating qualified recruits.
The sportscaster then made a joke about transgender fighters in combat sports to illustrate why the concept of inclusiveness can be particularly problematic in the case of physically demanding undertakings.
He stated, "Imagine if the UFC had to have diversity. Do you know what a problem that would be, if we had to have a certain amount of trans folks? There's going to be a bunch of people to get murdered."
He went on to say, "They’re gonna get thrown in with the real ones, there's gonna be a certain percentage of people that are just there because they're awesome, then a certain percentage of people that they have to hire in order to meet these DEI standards..."
The 56-year-old further added, "Imagine if the UK had one [trans] representative that was supposed to be fighting Francis Ngannou."
Joe Rogan believes transgender movement is making women less protected
Joe Rogan thinks that the transgender movement's growth is making women a less protected group. When discussing trans athletes competing for women's seats on the JRE, comedian and podcaster Tom Segura, 56, revealed what he considers to be the most strange result of the "super progressive" movement.
Rogan remarked, "We want to save people's feelings. What's really fascinating is in the process of being super progressive, you go toward the most maligned section of society, which is transgender people, and so everybody else who also has been marginalized by society, like women."
He continued, "Gets put in a less protected category than transgender women. So, a man becomes a more protected class of women."
