AUSTIN, TEXAS: Recently, Joe Rogan and UFC champion Sean O'Malley discussed the astounding speed of Tesla Inc's Model X Plaid on the 'Joe Rogan Experience' podcast.
Rogan's statement led Elon Musk to reiterate his allegation that he "stole" the product plan from the 1987 film 'Spaceballs'
On Friday, September 6, a user of X, formerly known as Twitter, posted a podcast clip on the social media platform.
Throughout the entire episode, renowned Tesla supporter Rogan couldn't suppress his excitement about the performance of the Model X Plaid.
Joe Rogan draws comparison between Model X Plaid and Porsche
During the 'JRE' episode, Joe Rogan told guest Sean O'Malley, “I’m faster in my Plaid than my Porsche, and it makes no sound… It time travels. 0 to 60 in 1.9 seconds for a four-door sedan. It’s bonkers."
O'Malley added his perspective after receiving a speeding ticket while driving a Model X Plaid.
He said, “I got pulled over again in literally the exact same highway, same neighborhood, same cop. Those Xs are insane. Even on the highway, you’re going 90, it feels like you are going 60.”
Rogan also revealed a memorable parenting moment, saying, “I taught my 15-year-old how to drive in that. It’s always on Ludicrous Mode. It’s easy to control. That’s the difference between that and other high-powered cars."
Elon Musk shares his thoughts on Model X Plaid
Musk, who never misses an opportunity to crack a joke, wrote in a comment on the post about the Rogan's podcast, "The only thing beyond ludicrous is plaid."
He further tweeted, "I stole the Tesla product roadmap from Spaceballs," a well-known Mel Brooks parody of the 'Star Wars' film series.
Musk has previously used the term 'Spaceballs' to describe Tesla's products.
The tech tycoon claimed that the Model S Plaid is proof that electric vehicles can be quick, safe, and ecologically friendly in 2021 while speaking to crowds outside Tesla's facility in Fremont, California.
