The latest installment of the JRE podcast featuring Musk proved to be an engaging journey, encompassing substantial insights and friendly wagers between Musk and Rogan, making it a captivating experience for the audience.
One particularly intriguing discussion revolved around Tesla's Cybertruck, setting Rogan and Musk on opposing ends of a friendly wager.
The conversation kicks off with Rogan's query, "How much does the Cybertruck weigh?" Musk responds, "It depends on the configuration, but it's about, I don't know, 7,000 pounds."
He added, "There's different versions, but six, seven thousand pounds. It's like similar to, like it's a heavy truck."
Continuing the discussion about the Cybertruck's acceleration, Musk added, "We're aiming to get the 0-60 below three seconds. For the, you know, the beast mode version."
He explained further, "So we've got a beast mode version that's, so there's this, well I don't want to give it all away right now, but there are three demonstrations."
One of them, people are aware of, which is, you know, emptying a Tommy gun into the side of the car. A shotgun, 45 and a 9mm, and no penetrations."
Rogan then playfully asks, "Can I try it with an arrow?" Musk casually responds, "Yeah, it'll be fine."
Rogan describes his bow, saying, "I have a 90-pound compound bow that shoots 520 grain arrows at 300 feet per second with a razor-sharp broadhead."
Musk suggests, "We can try it right now if you want. Is it at your house or something? Should we send someone to go get it? We can do the demo tonight."
Rogan agrees, "That would be interesting," and adds, "bet I could get in there." Musk counters, "I'll bet you can't. I'll bet you're dull."
Later, they decide to proceed with the experiment during the podcast, as Rogan had a 80-pound bow in the studio.
A video posted by user @BennyJohnson captures Rogan taking a shot at the Cybertruck, resulting in minimal damage, leaving just a scratch. The arrow tip, however, was flattened.
