CLEVELAND, OHIO: Logan Paul or 'The Maverick' is the new WWE US champion. The former YouTuber-turned-boxer told his younger brother Jake to cut his latest YouTube video as he apparently broke a promise given to Triple H.
Paul landed the WWE US title after beating Rey Mysterio earlier in November, but he has already broken a promise made to head of creative for WWE, Triple H - by having sex while wearing the WWE belt.
The popular YouTuber, who just declared his retirement from boxing, will concentrate his future on the WWE.
What did Logan Paul say to Jake Paul?
Before he revealed the information, the two siblings were kidding about a video starring Jake Paul. Logan told his brother to remove the bit from the video, but it was still there and was eventually made public.
Speaking to brother Jake on YouTube, Paul said, "I don't think you understand. I just took a shower with this belt on. I ran a 5K with this belt on. This belt never leaves my waist. I f*** in this belt."
He added, "This belt means everything to me… wait, cut that out, bro. The WWE did say I can't f*** in the belt. That's what they said when I won it."
"I swear, Triple H. He came up to me and said, 'Logan, congratulations on the belt. One thing we've been really cautious about here in the organisation is making sure our athletes are not f***ing in their belts. So if you could just refrain from that, that'd be great.'"
Is Logan Paul retiring from boxing?
Logan Paul, the co-founder of Prime Hydration, a sports energy drink brand, told Fox Business, "I think I’m retired from boxing. I’ve done enough going fully undefeated at 25-0. I’m going to be a wrestler now."
He added, "No more money in boxing, every company is going broke. Full-time wrestler. Beat Rey Mysterio. Fair and square for the US Championship. It feels great. It was a dominant performance. Some frog splashes, some punches, it feels good.”
Only a few weeks before losing his undefeated exhibition match against boxing icon Floyd Mayweather, Paul made his debut in the WWE.
Punch statistics indicate that despite landing 100 fewer punches than Paul, Mayweather outlanded him after eight rounds. However, no winner was declared. Following the exhibition match, Paul signed a multi-event contract with WWE within a year.
