CLEVELAND, OHIO: Logan Paul revealed that he once broke his hand after meeting with an accident in Germany and had to get steel screws for recovery in a video that he posted on his Instagram almost a year ago.
However, the incident didn't stop him from resuming boxing, and he is set to take on Dillon Danis on October 14 in Manchester, England, under the DAZN x Misfits Boxing PPV, which will be headlined by KSI vs Tommy Fury.
Logan Paul’s got into an accident in Germany
In the video shared by Logan Paul, he said that a fun evening in Germany turned crazy when he came upon a punching machine.
"The Maverick," who was quite drunk during that time, accidentally struck a machine's wall rather than the punching bag as he prepared to establish the new record. However, he ended up injuring his hand and was quickly rushed to the hospital.
His broken wrist was mended using 40mm screws, which are located in the middle of his hand, as per Logan. The hospital informed him that he might not box again following this.
"I was very reckless during this point in my life," said Logan while recounting the incident. Notably, the 28-year-old celebrity underwent physical rehabilitation following surgery in order to resume boxing.
UFC legend Michael Bisping trolls Logan Paul
In response to a recent video of Logan Paul discussing how he injured his wrist with his younger brother Jake Paul on a podcast, Michael Bisping, a former UFC middleweight champion, ended up trolling him.
"Logan Paul breaks his wrist one week out from the Dillon Danis fight or so he claims… In training for this fight, he connected with a punch wrong, broke his wrist, he’s sitting there with a wrist strap on and ooh everyone’s coming out and saying he’s making excuses already," said Bisping.
He added, "He’s going to lose to Dillon. But guess what? It’s just another stupid joke in a long line of f*****g jokes. My God! These guys, what an absolute embarrassment!"
Logan later acknowledged in the video that he was actually playing around to get Dillon Danis' attention and hadn't fractured his wrist. Although he attacks both competitors, Bisping insists that he is also quite immersed in the drama.
"There you go. He didn’t break his wrist. He was trying to make sure that Dilon shows up so therefore he’s saying I’m injured and all the rest of it," stated the former UFC middleweight champion.
"But as I say, it’s just another bloody- it’s embarrassing for crying out loud, they’re carrying themselves as fighters coming out of all this absolute utter nonsense. To be fair, they are hyping the fight, I am kind of interested for all the wrong reasons," expressed Bisping.
