SUVA, FIJI: 'Love Island Games' islander Megan Barton-Hanson has left the Peacock for 'medical reasons'. The reality TV star was notably absent from Sunday night's episode of the global spin-off of the series.
However, Ian Stirling, the show's narrator, made the announcement of Megan's departure in a brief comment on the show. However, Megan is yet to address her absence in the latest episode and the show didn't specify if she would be allowed to return to the villa.
However, Megan's departure left the viewers confused and disappointed. A viewer wrote, "So Megan just randomly left the show?? Okay then."
Another Twitter user added, "Just a casual and quick “Megan’s had to leave the villa for medical reasons” I’m sorry? That’s IT?" Another critic said, "Megan is gone because of what?? That’s some bullshit."
Another person noted, "I’m so disappointed, megan was the most dramatic bombshell by far and she just left the show because she’s sick??? 😭" Another internet user wrote, "Megan just up & left??"
Another social media user stated, "Wait after all that drama Megan just left the villa?!? we don’t even get to see the fall out?!?"
Kyra Green claims Megan Barton Hanson's sickness strained their relationship
'Love Island' producers did not address exactly what those 'medical reasons' were that forced Megan Barton Hanson to leave the villa. However, Kyra Green, whom Megan shared a steamy kiss with, admitted that Megan's sickness put a strain on their connection.
Kyra shared, "I'm okay. It's mean definitely upsetting... just obviously on different pages and I haven't been really able to get on the same page because she's been sick and out of here."
However, after becoming the Peacock spinoff show's first same-sex coupling, Kyra had trouble processing Megan's unexpected exit. Kyra admitted, "I feel like I'm in shock. I thought she was going to walk in tonight and be like whatever..."
Megan Barton Hanson shares her struggles with Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
'Love Island UK' star Megan Barton Hanson previously shared her health struggles with Pelvic Inflammatory Disease on her social media. The reality star wrote on Instagram, "I'd never heard of it but think I may have had my first experience."
Megan added, "I've not had pain/fever quite like it the last 5 days have been hell... If you have good Essex/London-based gynaecologist recommendations please let me know or any tips or remedies for the pain and to stop it from reoccurring."
However, according to Mayo Clinic, Pelvic Inflammatory occurs when there is an infection in the female reproductive system. The health complications could cause pelvic discomfort, bleeding, pain during sex, and more.
However, it wasn't officially revealed that Megan's Pelvic Inflammatory was what caused her to leave, but 'Love Island Games' was notably filmed in September.
'Love Island Games' airs six days a week from Sunday to Friday at 9 PM ET on Peacock.
