FLORENCE, ALABAMA: Mama June and her husband Justin Stroud are reportedly planning to move back to Georgia so they can help her daughter Anna 'Chikadee' Cardwell through her cancer treatments.
The reality star matriarch, whose real name is June Shannon, 43, said she and her husband Justin, 35, are planning to leave Alabama shortly and move back to her home state in order to be by her oldest daughter Anna's side as she battles with cancer. Justin will stay back in Alabama for some time to sort out some legal issues surrounding his 2022 arrest for a warrant related to previous drug charges. However, he is free to leave the state once that is behind him.

"We are definitely leaving Alabama," Justin told The Sun, "I'm in the process of leaving Alabama now and I'm in the final steps of my legal issues, so we'll definitely be going back to Georgia." June told the outlet that she and Justin usually stay in a rental whenever she pitches in to help drive her embattled daughter to chemo in Georgia. "We split time between Alabama and Georgia and when we come to help Anna and visit, we stay in an Airbnb," she explained.
According to June, she had been working on improving her relationship with her long-estranged daughter when the mother of two was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in January. "The relationship with Anna was actually working before she found out that she had cancer," she said. "It didn't just all of a sudden miraculously start working like what Anna had cancer, you know, to make that totally clear with everybody."
The 'Mama June Family Crisis' star recently opened up about her own health issues and the fallout over her trying to seek help. She revealed that her medical issues have compounded and that she's struggling to find a doctor who will take her concerns seriously. "I'm getting tired of having severe headaches and not being able to think, I'm not getting tired of forgetting things, I'm getting tired of being dizzy and not being able to see straight," she said, adding that she is finding it difficult to find a doctor who would treat her since "all the tests are coming back kind of normal."
Meanwhile, some doctors are also factoring in her history of addiction. June noted that she tells doctors, "'Hey, I'm recovering. I've been in recovery and been sober for three years,' and that for them throws up that judgmental card and they seem to be like, 'Oh well you have to be honest about your symptoms.'" She added, "I'm getting tired of all of this like 'the tests are coming back normal,' let's just figure it out! Let's run more tests, or run more blood work. Let's figure out really down deep what's going on."
Mama June is hoping she finds a medical professional soon - someone who will take her concerns seriously. "We're in the process of trying to find new doctors, and we've got good doctors that we can go to but you can't get into for six or seven months," she said. It's worth noting that the reality star has been rather candid about her past with drugs and addiction.
