LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tory Lanez hailed his feelings for Kylie Jenner in the song 'Queen And Slim' from his album 'DAYSTAR,' claiming that Kylie did "excite" him the night Megan Thee Stallion was shot in the foot. On June 16, Kylie posted a few TikTok video, one of which showed her vibing to an unreleased song by the Tory Lanez, earning her instant backlash online.
On August 20, 2020, Megan Thee Stallion stated that Tory Lanez was the shooter who shot her in the foot during a pool party at Kylie's house on July 12, 2020. This was the first time she publicly named him, or anybody, as her shooter. Megan said in an Instagram Live video that Tory's publicist was deliberately spreading incorrect information about the shooting, for which she was hospitalized and required surgery. "Yes, this n- - - - Tory shot me," Megan claimed on camera. Tory, whose actual name is Daystar Peterson, was detained for carrying a hidden weapon in a vehicle, but not for allegedly shooting Megan. Tory was freed on bail of $35,000 dollars. According to reports, the Los Angeles Police Department had difficulty obtaining witnesses who might assist with their investigation.
According to several early reports, Megan's injuries were caused by shattered glass rather than a gunshot. Megan acknowledged in her video that she didn't tell authorities what occurred because she believed the LAPD was "aggressive", although she admitted she should have told them right away. A significant turn in the case occurred on October 8, 2020, when the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office announced criminal assault and weapons charges against Tory. He was placed under house arrest on October 28 due to a separate altercation with August Alsina. The trial began on December 5, 2022, after the intended start date of September 14 was pushed out owing to Tory's counsel being distracted with another case. Tory was tried and found guilty of all three charges stemming from the 2020 shooting on December 23. Tory was given a continuance on June 13, thereby delaying his punishment for two months.

Kylie's June 16 TikToks of her vibing to an unreleased Tory song was seen in bad taste. She had a filter on, superimposing an image of Tory's face on her own visage. So the video actually looks like Tory promoting the song. The TikTok video was seen by followers as another jab from the young entrepreneur after she was called out for a distasteful post last December. Kylie was chastised online after she shared and then removed a 'cruel' snap of her manicured foot on a beach. The "Thank you God another beautiful day" message came after Megan had filed a lawsuit against Tory for shooting her in the foot.
One 'The Kardashians' viewer lambasted the beauty mogul on Reddit in response to the post, writing, "Regardless of the foot pic … I'd not be saying that caption right after someone I know and hung out with got shot in the foot in my vicinity!
