LOS ANGELES, CALIFRONIA: The MLB player David Ortiz and his ex-wife Tiffany Ortiz reached a settlement deal over the split of their assets and child support, according to reports. According to court records, the parties brought the agreement to the court earlier this month, allowing them to avoid a messy public trial.
According to the extensively redacted agreement, "The Parties Freely and Voluntarily Entered into a Marital Settlement." Tiffany filed for divorce in December 2020, and the two have been battling in court ever since. D'Angelo and Alexandra are the couple's two children.

'David and I have shared a beautiful adventure in love'
Tiffany released a statement on social media following the divorce: "Over the past 25 years, David and I have shared a beautiful adventure in love and partnership. We have made the decision to go into a new phase of our life journey together, not as a couple, but as friends and co-parents to our amazing children." The legal dispute got heated when Tiffany insisted that David and his business partner take a deposition. The written agreement divides David's retirement funds, his Big Papi Properties LLC, and his memorabilia collection, as reported by Radar Online.
'You have to move on'
As we originally revealed, the pair have been on-again, off-again for years. Tiffany and David first divorced in 2013. At the time, their marriage had lasted 11 years. He said then, "There are some situations in life that work out for some time, and at some point, they don't work out anymore, and you have to move on. I'm moving on. She's moving on. Hopefully, everybody respects that," A year later, the couple reconciled.
The divorce agreement was reached months after the alleged Dominican Republic shooter was given a prison term. Rolfi Ferreras Cruz, 27, will spend 30 years in prison, according to TMZ. Cruz was accused of attempting to kill David in 2019 by shooting him. According to the allegations, Alberto Mota, another guy, "paid those who carried out the act." After being shot, David was taken to a hospital but fully recovered.
