One of the best TV episodes of 2023 so far, episode 2 of Pete Davidson’s Bupkis is streaming free on YouTube before it airs.
NBC has made the critically lauded second chapter of the comedian and former Saturday Night Live star's autobiographical series available for anyone to watch on YouTube. Titled "Do as I Say, Not as I Do," the episode examines a moment from Davidson's youth, at his Uncle Tommy's (Bobby Cannavale) wedding following a family tragedy.
"Pete and his family's grief allows for far more introspection than we got in the first episode, including a poignant look at how he uses humor as a kind of coping mechanism, as well as his relationship with Tommy in both the past and present," writes Mashable's Belen Edwards of the episode.
"'Do as I Say, Not as I Do' also offers some wildly funny moments, like a misguided speech about mortality from a priest (Steve Buscemi). These moments, combined with the episode's thoughtfulness, help provide a better roadmap for what Bupkis will be, all while delivering a genuinely great episode of television."
The episode will air on June 10 on NBC after SNL, set to be hosted by Miles Teller with Kendrick Lamar.
If you haven't seen the first episode, Bupkis is now streaming on Peacock.
