George Toledano gets rightfully fired
From the start of season 5, George Toledano came out to be an annoying character who didn't have much significance in the show, but as soon as we turned our heads away, George Toledano was fired from The Gordon Ford Show, with the brains behind the operation being Susie and Mike. The duo realized that George was involved in serious money embezzlement, which he took from the show's fund to invest in his own expensive lifestyle. With Susie's big brains and Mike being tired of working as George's assistant, the revenge plan was created. With George out of the building and Mike being next in line, the network makes him the new producer of The Gordon Ford Show.
How will things change with Mike Carr at the top of the pyramid?
Mike Carr's significance in the show will bring out wonderful changes in the fictional world of The Gordon Ford Show in the series. The new producer in Mike Carr might change things for the better and bring out real change in the writer's room. Midge being the only female writer in the sack might change soon and would give her a chance to be on the show with Gordon Ford. There are many assumptions about the storyline and less time.
The end is near
While Midge is running around writing jokes about sexism on the get-go, there is chaos ensuing on the homefront. Midge's mom, Rose Weissman, is trying to make her brand and is advertising her services of "finding the ideal husband". The production has done a great job of giving story arcs to each and every character. As the show comes to an end with only two episodes left to air, the story arcs might give us a sense of relief about what each character might do and be in the future, while also dealing with the realization that the show has indeed ended.
