LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Reba McEntire shared that her siblings Susie, Alice, and Pake learned all about singing from their mother, Jacqueline Smith.
The '70s star learned the art from her mother Jacqueline. "She was really encouraging for all of us kids, whatever we wanted to do," she said, adding, "She taught us harmony."
What did Reba McEntire say about her mother?
"Anytime anybody needed an opinion of who’s off — Susie’s on my part, I’m on Susie’s part — Mama would come in with her spatula after she was frying potatoes," said McEntire, showing how her mother would point at them with the utensil
She fondly recalled, "She would say, ‘OK, Reba, you’re on Susie’s part. Sing it again.’ We’d sing it, and she’d say, ‘Oh, that’s perfect,’ and she’d go back in and keep frying potatoes."
Reba McEntire shared that she almost hung her boots after losing her beloved mother Jacqueline. The latter died due to cancer in March 2020.
Legendary singer-actress remembered that when she was looking through her parents’ stuff with her sister Susie, she thought of quitting singing altogether, reports People.
"I was going through pictures. I said, ‘I just don’t think I’m gonna do this anymore.’ She said, ‘What?’ I said, ‘Sing,'" she shared, recalling their conversation.
The singer went on to say, "I said, ‘I always did it for Mama.’ She said, ‘Oh, you’ll get it back.’ I did."

Reba McEntire is one of the coaches on 'The Voice' Season 24. She is known for her strict demeanor. In one of the episodes, she said while referring to Jacquie Roar, "You and I are kind of on the same vein of thinking, winning, working together, and win this whole sucker. We could this the whole show."
To this, Gwen added, "And like the whole country genre, I feel like I'm this weird—adopted into the Okie world." She declared, "The whole thing's weird."
Reba teased Gwen, saying, "Such pressure." Gwen agreed, noting, "It is a lot of pressure. I want you to like me." Both then laughed off their little moment.
