NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In the most recent episode of 'The Real Housewives of New York City,' Sai De Silva and Erin Lichy went on a double date with their husbands and did what they do best: talking about Jessel Taank. Following the October 1 episode, Bravo viewers flocked to social media to criticize Sai for "being unreasonably mean" to Jessel.
Jessel and Pavit Randhawa got their staycation at the Ritz-Carlton completed. We mean a sex date when we say staycation. They ate at a Michelin-starred restaurant, hired a nanny, and slept in a hotel suite.
Jessel also stated that it took her 20 minutes to warm up.
When Erin and Abe Lichy went out with Sai and David Craig, they discussed Pavit and Jessel's relationship over dinner.
Jessel invites Sai to lunch at the conclusion of the episode, and she agrees, but in her confessional, she immediately says, "Why do we have to go to lunch? I don’t want to go to lunch."
Jessel chooses a brunch location that is handy for Sai and then arrives 41 minutes late. And Jessel didn't even send a text or make a phone call.
When Jessel comes, Sai is understandably irritated, but her demeanor is frigid. Sai is certain Jessel is lying when she talks about her date night with Pavit.
Fans on social media questioned why Jessel would lie about having sex with her spouse. Just to tie up the plot? This made no sense to them. On X, fans wrote, "Super weird that Sai wanted details about Jessel having sex with her husband in order to believe that Jessel actually had sex with her husband."
Another person chimed in, "Sai is THE biggest hater. Her thinking Jessel lied is so stupid. Why would she go into detail with you? You’re one of the main people hating on her AND her sex life."
One viewer also wrote, "So Sai and Erin talk about Jessel not having sex. She tells them they had sex and now Sai doesn’t believe because she didn’t tell her every detail. Girl."
A fourth user reminded Sai by saying, "Sai, Jessel doesn’t owe you any details and their sex life is really none of your business."
On Reddit, viewers noted, "sai is being unreasonably mean to jessel." Another user said, "Sai is 100% a mean girl."
When did 'RHONY' couple Jessel Taank and Pavit Singh Randhawa get married?
Jessel decided to move to New York City to chase her American dream, where she eventually met her husband, Pavit. Although they didn't start dating right away, Jessel, a fashion publicist, and Pavit, president of Phone Daddy, kept up a strong connection for several years before choosing to do so.
Pavit ultimately proposed to Jessel during a fantastic Labor Day weekend after three years of dating. In October 2014, the pair married in Mexico in a lovely ceremony where they exchanged vows.
Kai Singh Randhawa and Rio Singh Randhawa, twin boys of Jessel and her spouse Pavit, were born in May 2021.
Sai De Silva calls 'RHONY' co-star Jessel Taank 'a little dramatic'
Jessel apologizes to Sai for not being able to open up in the way that Sai wished, saying that Jessel's uncle (with whom she lived when she went to New York) was an alcoholic, making it difficult for her to talk about that time in her life. Jessel references Sai's mother, who was also an alcoholic and died as a result of the sickness.
Jessel brings this up as a basis on which they might unite, but Sai perceives it as Jessel comparing their problems.
Jessel begins to cry, and Sai remarks that she is "a little dramatic."
"I didn’t come from a family that openly talks about this sh*t," Jessel adds, explaining why it's more difficult for her to go into her history the way Sai does.
What happened to 'RHONY' star Sai De Silva's mother?
According to reports, Sai's mother was diagnosed with bipolar illness but refused to believe it. She went a long time without taking medication, and when she did, she medicated herself with booze.
Even though Sai attempted several times to assist her mother, she never listened.
'The Real Housewives of New York City' Season 14 airs every Sunday on Bravo at 9 pm ET.
